Food borne diseases is a new concept that I have learnt from the article. From online dictionary, the phrase means the diseases that can be contracted when an individual consumes food that is prepared in unhealthy environment. The article is interesting to read because it relates to what people see around them every day. Fast foods are prepared in unhealthy environments and mostly in open air. These foods contain dust and bacteria that are blown by wind from the ground. This however does not prevent individuals from buying and consuming the foods.
One day, we were discussing with my roommate the fact that fast foods are enjoyable to eat. In the process of discussing the issue, we realized that people enjoy this food for a short period, and specifically, when eating it. However, the risks they expose themselves to within the short period are very many. The discussion started after we had taken a soda and argued that soda is dangerous to the health of individuals.
