Research Outline
Introduction
The research asserts that successful psychopaths in this world exhibit the characteristics of being fearless, dominant and passionate in what they engage in. It points out that chief executive officers (CEO’s) and serial killers have in them these peculiar personalities. It is believed that this uniqueness in their lives is the reason behind their success in whatever functions they perform. Due to their virtue of being fearless, they are able to lead people and also perform activities that normal people fear. Psychopaths also bear in them the characters of being manipulative and charming. It is thought that these characters enable them to undertake anything in their reach so as to ensure success. The study also finds out that when CEO’s succeed no one can bring them down since they are fearless people. Psychopaths are mostly concerned in the benefits that they would reap from any given situation.
Al Dunlap who was the CEO of Scott and Sunbeam was known to be a fearless person and hence he held success in both companies. He was also known for sacking many employees thereby rendering them jobless. Another fearless psychopath is Steve Jobs the founder of Apple. As said by his childhood friend, Jobs was a fearless kid and thus this character has seen him succeed in his life. However, apart from having successful CEO’s the study also finds out that there are also triumphant serial killers who maneuver in their activities. Ted Bundy was one serial killer who got away with very many murders. He did not fear of being caught while performing these heinous acts and hence he was able to succeed. Successful psychopaths are also known to be very dominant in whatever engagement they are involved.
This character helps them to get their way through anything that they target. For instance, when Al Dunlap was CEO at Sunbeams he was overly dominant such that he could order the closure of factories and also transforming towns into ghost towns. He did not care about the people that would be affected by his dominance. Dunlap lacked the virtues of empathy and remorse and hence he could succeed in doing such acts to the people. Therefore, for psychopaths to be victorious in their undertakings it is essential that they should be dominant and fearless. For example, Charles Manson was a dominant serial killer who managed to turn a lot of people as his followers and would later use them to kill. Due to his dominance he would turn them into a family and they would believe in anything that Manson wanted.
The last virtue which successful psychopaths posses is being passionate. A person must have passion in anything he does so as to ensure that he succeeds fully from the undertaking. Successful serial killers like Manson have passion in murdering people and thus they do it best without being caught easily. Al Dunlap was also passionate to position Sunbeams at the top of the stock market. Successful psychopaths also possess the charm of being very manipulative. For this reason they are able to manipulate people through their thoughts and the same people concur with their opinions. These findings prove that CEO’s and serial killers have the same unique characters which guarantee their success. In a nutshell, a successful psychopath must be fearless, dominant and passionate in what they do. However, being charismatic and manipulative keeps them ahead of everyone and thus maintains their success levels.
