- What are the external factors that could have an impact on tourism in Kazakhstan?
Kazakhstan with its unique natural resources and the unique culture of the nomadic people has a huge untapped potential for the development of tourism in the international and regional markets.
The tourism potential of recreational resources and historical and cultural heritage allows Kazakhstan to integrate into the international tourism market and to achieve rapid development of tourism in the country. This will ensure steady growth in employment and incomes encourage the development of tourism- related industries and increase the flow of investments into the national economy.
The tourism industry in Kazakhstan at the state level is recognized as one of the priority sectors of the economy. An analysis of statistical and empirical evidence demonstrates the growing interest to Kazakhstan's tourism product and favorable growth trends of tourists and expansion of markets.
Kazakhstan is located in the heart of Eurasia, to the south of the Ural Mountains. This unusual way intertwined ancient and modern, Eastern and Western modernist tradition. Boundless southern steppes, mountains and lakes, the Great Silk Road and Baikonur - all Kazakhstan. The Great Silk Road is a unique historical monument of human civilization. Over the centuries, trade in ancient caravan route contributed to the development of the economy and culture of the peoples of the East and West Eurasia. Invaluable its value in our day, as a modern tourism links today trade and business with a cultural dialogue, promoting understanding and peace between peoples. Silk Road contributes to the establishment of multilateral ties between the 24 participating countries along the Silk Road Initiative.
The idea of the Initiative for the development of cooperation and the promotion of tourism along the Silk Road was born 15 years ago, and was enshrined in the Samarkand Declaration of 1994.
There have since been adopted in 1999 - Declaration of Khiva in 2002 - Declaration of Bukhara. Astana Declaration on the Silk Road was adopted in 2009, the 18th Session of the General Assembly of UNWTO and Almaty - in 2008 during the III Forum of Mayors of the "Silk Road".
Great impetus to the development of the tourism industry was the acquisition of the right to host the Asian Winter Games in 2011. For the Asian Winter Games in Almaty was built a whole ensemble of modern arenas: ice stadium with a 400-meter track, ski and biathlon stadiums, a new ski resort, 90 - and 120-meter springboards with stands for 20,000 spectators, a bobsleigh track.
An important factor in the development of tourism is to conduct a number of international conferences. In particular, in October 2013, the prospects become the center of Almaty in Kazakhstan to promote tourism and the world center of winter recreation discussed by international experts in the field of ski tourism. In advance of the first district of Eurasian conference where it was announced the construction of a new type of resort, as well as establishing training centers for training in the field of tourism.
In the period from 2 to 4 September 2008 in Almaty conducted III Forum of the Mayors "Silk Road" on the New Silk Road, " from the great tradition to modern standards of tourism and cooperation", which was attended by mayors, representatives of state bodies and business communities from 27 countries, as well as heads of international organizations. The purpose of the Forum was the further development of integration between the cities, the promotion of innovative ways to finance tourism along the Silk Road, the improvement of mutual understanding between the people and the harmonious development of the region. One of the important issues discussed was about the problems of barriers to the development of regional tourism.
The project of the State Program of Forced Industrial - Innovative Development for 2010-2014 includes measures to establish a national tourism cluster in the construction of multi-functional complexes and tourist centers along the international transport corridor "Western Europe - Western China".
This highway with a total length 2,700 kilometers. which coincides with the Kazakh section of the Silk Road and passes through five regions ( Almaty, Zhambyl, South Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda and Aktobe ), on the route of a population of about five million people, which provides a unique opportunity to form a national tourism cluster along it. First of all, it's investment projects to ensure the construction of 30 roadside infrastructure, 8 motel on either side of the track. The main ideology of the investment along the route of the Silk Road is to create a high-performance cluster of tourist country, representing a network of integrated, interrelated tourist complexes and associated industries in the tourism industry.
