Credibility can be thought as having the same advantages of a house's establishment amid a colossal tempest. If the establishment of the house is solid, then the house will hold up against seething waters (Salovey et al. Pg59). At the point when individuals accept and believe a leader, they will take after the leader without inquiry. When a leader needs credibility, the principal establishment of the initiative, the leader will have an additional strain of attempting to draw individuals towards the authority. Generally, on the off chance that one cannot believe the messenger, one will not accept the message (Salovey et al. Pg61).
DWYSYWD stands for Do What You Said You Would Do (Voight pg78). When a person practices DWYSYWD and stands by what he/she says, people will have the proclivity to term the person as an individual who keeps his/her word. DWYSYWD also reduces frustration from the person who practices and those around the person who practice it (Voight pg79). DWYSYWD makes a leader that can be trusted.
My personal leadership goals are to enhance change agility and finding my ‘flow.' I will achieve these personal leadership goals by developing individual initiatives that extend beyond defined boundaries, finding a commitment to a better way, and developing the courage to challenge the existing power norms and bases.
The practical implication of that action step is to help leaders become who they say they want to be by not being afraid of rising to where they aspire (Kouzes & Posner pg152). I have seen this in my educational life because I had set goals that I wanted to achieve after I have completed my studies. Challenges have always presented themselves by I have never lost focus.
