This assignment question is the issue of the production process, its harmful impact on the environment and ways to reduce this problem through the modernization of production process and the introduction of innovations in this area. The research was made because the problem of the negative impact of the production process in the state of the nowadays environment is very acute and it will require the immediate solutions to decrease the stern impact and to reduce it in the near future. The topicality of this research is that it can help to find strategies to reduce the problem and to choose the best one, in our case it is the innovations and modernization in the production area. The data, used in this research have been collected by observation method and it was analyzed by different objective methods.
The sources of our research were the 5 scientific research articles: Fiksel’s Design for environment a guide to sustainable product development; Kornish’s and Ulrich’s The importance of the raw idea in innovation: Testing the sow's ear hypothesis; Lewis’ and Slack’s Operations Management; Liu’s, Chen’s and Tao’s Innovation Performance in New Product Development Teams in China's Technology Ventures: The role of behavioral integration dimensions and collective efficacy; and Industry, Technology and The Environment: Competitive Challenges And Business Opportunities; - concerning both the negative impact of production on the environment and ways to solve this problem. In our research the state of the environment is the dependent variable. It shows the effect of manipulating the independent variable. The independent variable in our case is the production process which leads to the harmful impact on the environment. Thus, the variation in the effect of manipulating depends on the variation in the production process. These variables were measured with the help of construct validity, because the things, which we have measured was not observed, but which we attempted to infer.
For this assignment I choose the qualitative type of research. My methods involved describing in details the production process and its harmful impact on the environment using research tools like examination and observation. This method was used to gain an understanding of the origins of this problem, dive deeper into the problem and to find ways to solve it. It helped to develop ideas and hypotheses for potential quantitative research. The chosen methods play an important role in evaluation of solutions by providing useful information, which helped us understand the processes of negative impact and assessed changes in our perceptions of our well-being. Furthermore, this method helped us generate the evaluation hypothesis. Our method was open-ended and had a little number of the structured protocols, it relied more on different authors’ interviews from the chosen articles. Generally the researchers’ findings were not generalized to any specific population, thus, that could not be used to seek general patterns among different studies of production process problem. In spite of the different kinds of data, which was involved in this research, data collection here took a great deal of time. For the best analysis of this issue, it is needed to record any useful data accurately and systematically, while the data collection methods must observe the different principles of research.
Nowadays, the production process is harmful for nature and the environment we live in. The problem is very grave, because the environment suffers huge diseases, people destroy the Earth, by using its resources without considering the needs of the future generations. Thus, in my research population was the negative impact on the environment. The sample here was the production process, as one of the main casualties of the harmful impact on the Earth’s state. With the usage of the knowledge, understanding of the problem and new innovations it is possible to solve this problem and contribute to the long living of the Earth and mankind. Analysis of our data was generally accomplished by subjective methods– dependent on the authors’ opinions, knowledge, assumptions, and inferences. According to their research, the modern production companies suffer a wide range of problems connected with the process of products creating and management. The companies are afraid of changing their production process as it may lead to huge expenses which they will have to compensate it with the price on the products which will reflect on the customers. Therefore, all that influenced the results of our research.
As a conclusion, we can say that research method, which we have chosen, helped us to generate the useful data. Thus, the scientists claim about the necessity to solve the problem of negative impact of production process on the environment in order to make both the production process better and improve the company and save the Earth’s health for future generations. The new technologies must be used to make the process of production healthier. New ideas for production management create new opportunities and possibilities for companies. Innovations are the key to decide the environmental problems and make the production safer and better. If the production companies do not change, they would not have both the raw and no consumers.
