The figure above depicts the different types of relationships in ER diagrams.
The first one is a one-to-one relationship. We can say that one husband marries one wife. Or one wife is married by one husband.
The second relationship is a one-to-many relationship. One mother can have one or more children.
For the third one, the circle at the end makes it somewhat different. A web designer can be assigned to zero or more projects.
Again zero (0) indicates that none is possible, a course may or may not be undergoing review.
The fifth one is a typical many-to-many type of relationship. One or more students can take one or more courses.
A home team can have one or more players. Consequently, one or more players may or may not belong to the home office.
The last one is a mandatory many-to-many relationship. We can say that many books have several authors.

PART A
Interview Objectives
More effective information retrieval system.
Consistent information inputs and outputs
Effective decision making with decision support.
Reliable and speedy information processing
Quick turnaround in decision making
Flexible and accommodates different decision styles
An interview is a primary method of data collection during systems analysis and design. It involves an arranged formal face-to-face meeting between the interviewer and the interviewee. Generally, interviews are conducted to: reveal information about the opinions of the interviewee, reveal the feelings of the interviewee, discover the organizational goals and personal goals of the interviewee, and to understand the working of the current system at the organization. I will call or email Leo to prepare them for the interview. The chief accountant will be informed of the time, place and motive of the interview. Additionally, interview questions will be emailed to the chief accountant so as to quicken the process of the interview. Lastly, I will remind Leo of the time and place of the interview a day before the interview.
Interview structures can be of three types namely: pyramid, funnel and diamond. This interview will use the diamond structure. The diamond structure is preferred because it encompasses the advantages of pyramid and funnel structures. The interview is initiated in a specific manner, the objectives examined and a conclusion arrived at regarding each objective. This method is effective in maintaining the interest and attention of the interviewee using an array of questions.

#4 Chapter 5
Props
The presence of a personal computer at the office of Dr. Charles suggests that the organization uses information. In the case study, we are told of the presence of an organizational chart at Dr. Charles’ office. This indicates that he (Dr. Charles) often references the information on the chart as compared to someone who doesn’t have one.
Lighting and color
Dr. Charles’ office is brightly lit by sunlight. This depicts a desire to share information with others.
Trade journals and Newspapers
Dr. Charles’ office is stacked high with medical journals and copies of old BYTE magazines (Kendall & Kendall, 2010). This is an indicator that Dr. Charles also looks for information externally outside the organization. This shows how Dr. Charles will keep himself updated with the latest information with a view of improving the operations of the center. Craig Bunker on the other hand seems more interested in the internal information as depicted by his reading of the center’s internal newsletter, Bloodline.
Clothing
Dr. Charles is said to be dressed in a conservative, dark wool suit and a red-stripped silk necktie. His dressing gives depicts bigger authority and formality, even though the other staff members believe that Dr. Charles is sociable and approachable individual. Craig Bunker is dressed in a light-blue sport coat, checkered slacks, light-blue shirt and a necktie (Kendall & Kendall, 2010). His casual dressing style points to his personality traits: outgoing and friendly.
A follow-up interview would be necessary to address the unresolved issues or inconsistencies using time or event sampling to analyze their activities and body language (Kendall & Kendall, 2010). The interview is critical in demonstrating what is normally done and indicate the connection between Dr. Charles, Craig Bunker and the other staff.
