The Frankenstein story was developed by Mary shelly at the age of eighteen years but was only published in 1818. The book attained a lot of critics globally and positive reviews following its publishing. Despite the critics it has faced over the decades since it got published, the book has continued to persist two hundred years after its publication. This is due to its theme and the science fiction behind the story where a character in the story tries to challenge religion and science by creating life. In this instance, the doctor tries to make himself a god. This paper will analyze the influence the paper has had on the readers and why its existence and popularity still prevails up to date.
The theme behind this story is the obsession the doctor had in trying to create a new understanding of life(Shelly, 52). This is fueled by the need to create a life instead of just using life for experiments. Animals are used to conduct medical experiments in scientific studies. This story is fueled by the great scientific innovations that had followed in recent years. For example, the discovery of electricity was a major influence in the Frankenstein story. The invention of the electricity is what motivated the doctor in Frankenstein to try and use a form of energy to try and create a life. This has led to critics from religious leaders, and other leaders who do not accept the challenge that was being posed to God. This is because it is socially believed that God is theonly giver of life and science goes against religious teachings in the Frankenstein story.
In essence, this is one of the factors and themes that have made the Frankenstein novel still relevant today, years later. This is because it is being used as an example by persons who are not in support of the kind challenge that science is putting on the existence of mankind. This is what has led to the incorporation of the novel into school programs and other studies which view the theme behind this novel as inappropriate. It is some readers, and other society leaders find it as a book that goes against their societal belief. This is because it challenges the work of God by trying to use science to create a life. This is one aspect that has resulted to theexistence of the novel two hundred years later. It presents a practical example of the negative attributions brought about by Science where Scientists now think they can create a life. The novel is used in institutions as an example of the negative impacts that come with scientific knowledge.
The language and the concept behind the novel are what have stressed the persistence of the art behind the films that have been attributed in honor of the novel. This is because the novel has a great concept in terms of the language that is used in the development of the story. This is from the essence that, good artistic language is used in describing Frankenstein and the role he plays. The role of Frankenstein has been continuously used in theatres to play try and bring to life the concept that was used in the concept behind. Despite the constant stage plays that have been staged, there have been some changes that have been made in relation to the play. This is due to the various concepts that have been developed in relation to the play. The concepts have been developed according to the message that the producers want to put across.

The Frankenstein narrative as in the novel by Mary Shelly has also been an influence on films produced based on science fiction thatwants to imitate the monster that is created in the Frankenstein story due to science. This is what has made the film to be a model in the modern world due to the originality in the concept of the Frankenstein story. This is among the factors which have led to the recognition of the book and the influence it continues to have on the modern world, years after its publication.
Teaching is also emphasized on how power should be controlled to prevent destruction(Storment). This is made clear through the Frankenstein story where victor the doctor was is not in control the monster that he had created.
