‘The end of Men’, by The Sexes
In 1970, a self-proclaimed biologist by the name Ronald Ericson came with a sperm filtration process. He discovered how X-chromosomes could be eliminated from the Y-chromosomes before fertilization process took effect. This discovery never came to be due to the widespread criticism that it received. Men is the dominant gene since time immemorial, women have low population compared to men. This is extended into the workforce area, where, every office consists one lady in every five men. The current statistics in US for the kind of jobs that men and women hold shows that; all high profile jobs are being taken over by women. Pierre the author of the book, ‘The Bachelors Ball ‘agrees that, the once highly ranked patrimonial loyalty and inheritance, that used to be dominated by men is being over-taken by women, who are creeping in an alarming rate. As opposed to men, it is universal agreed that, women upholds high levels of integrity when in office. This contributes positively to their dominance in the corporate world.
In analyzing this article, it can be evident that if Erickson’s idea were adopted then women would have seized to exist; therefore, halting continued creation. Women slowly taking over the white collar jobs, as opposed to the past scenarios of studying art-based course; women are now specializing in all courses whether soft or hardcore. Women are taking over the public speaking scene, due to their nature of their fluency and ability to compose themselves before masses. Women are taking over this area of specialization. The constitution grants women the right to own children in case of divorce. This establishes ground for their esteemed supremacy.
In synthesizing this article, the author is not specific and consistent in his arguments, in support for the supremacy of women; He only uses past and vague examples which need substantive arguments.
‘Why are Men in Trouble?’ by William. J. Bennett
In the recent past, chances of women over-taking men in college degrees are consistent. The statistics prove that; in the 70s, men earned college degrees more than women; however, this is not the case I the recent past as more women are earning more degrees than women. The workforce is slowly being taken over by women. The only thing that remains for men is the high-paying jobs and high-profile positions. The number of wed-lock infants is on the rise; this allows women to stay single hence managing them easily.
In analyzing this article, the author is interested about the number of college degrees that both men and women are awarded. He uses this to draw a distinctive comparison of the number of college graduates earning degrees in the current and their consistency to the present time. Having a degree is a merit to be employed, the author also analyses the dominance of the workforce among the women and men in the society. He draws another point about parental welfare, where he points out those women are the sole providers for their families.
In synthesizing this, the author proofs that; the success of women in the society and men are overtaken easily due to their nature of being bossy. Parental welfare is an element of concern to both parents, the author states that; women resorts to living single lives.
‘Is This the End of Men or the Beginning of Women?’ by Emily Sohn
In analyzing this article, these arguments provided by the author are valid. The author goes to the extent of using substantive data to ascertain for this, the author is a believer. In the example of the number of jobs that women dominate, she lays out statistics as follows; women make up a third of physicians; 54% are accountants; 45% are law associates. These statistics draws distinctive comparisons of the number of men and women in the workforce.
In synthesizing this, the author dwells more on the facts about women. She doesn’t provide substantive statistics on why men are trailing behind. She is in full support of women development in the society. Men are considered as elements of lack of qualitative development in the society. They are considered as forces behind the underperformance of women in the past. This simple fact leads them to their downfall. Men are losing their superiority in the society. Women are taking over from men at a rapid rate.
