My personal leadership vision
One great leader is one less source of problem in this world and one more driving for good in transforming the world into a better place to live in this generation and for the generations to come. I envision a world wherein great leaders create more leaders who, as a network of transforming force in society, will create gradually a Utopia where honest people inspire each other, open with each other, and motivate each other to accomplish bring more goodness into this world than their lives ever received when they were born. As the network of great leaders grow, the force for good expands from my community and to the communities of peoples around the world, conquering the world with goodness (Daft, 2014) [p. 15].
My four leadership goals
Inspiring: An inspiring leader is someone who awakens in others the inherent goodness in themselves and their inherent capacity to spread goodness in their community and to the world. Wherever the leader will be, whether in business, in the academe, in the community, or in the church, he will be a beacon of what goodness can accomplish by any person. I believe that this characteristic of a great leader is essential in its role and function as a leader because leadership is about inspiring people to go beyond what they thought they can be and can do in order to accomplish what they thought cannot be accomplished (Daft, 2014) [p. 15]. In line with this leadership goal, this one specific goal is in order:
I will perform each day one good action that the people in the community can see.
Honesty: Honesty is the lifeblood of a loving and cohesive community, which bring forth crucial inner strengths, such as humility, courage, and integrity, that will be necessary for leaders to work effectively and influentially from behind the scenes, giving all the credits of successes to his people in the forefront (Daft, 2014) [p. 11, 15]. An honest leader is someone who speaks to others all the goodness in their hearts in order to establish the boundaries. I believe that honesty in leadership creates the atmosphere and environment wherein trust grows between the leader and the led, creating a bond of unity and respect that enables the community to move towards common goals with unity of mind and actions; keeping the line of communication open (Daft, 2014) [p. 10]. In line with this leadership goal, this one specific goal is in order:
I will participate in public interactions each day with honesty.
Straightforwardness: Straightforwardness in a great leader reflects an inner honesty that is lived in thoughts and in actions. It also communicates the single-mindedness of the great leader in following the goodness of his heart without reservation, with total honesty, and with full commitment of his soul; thus, like honesty, effectively keeping the team together through open communication between the leader and the led (Daft, 2014) [p. 10]. I believe that straightforwardness supports the public image of the leader as an honest person and as an incorruptible force of goodness in the community and the society. In line with this leadership goal, this one specific goal is in order:
I will interact with others each day from the goodness of my being.
Motivation: A motivating leader is a leader who can move others to perform actions that are good for others and for the common good of the community; thus, bridging the natural gulf between diverse people and molding them into an effective team of diverse knowledge and skills (Daft, 2014) [p. 10-11]. A motivated network of good people can accomplish enormously more than those who are not motivated. I believe that this leadership goal is important because it is the very force that the great leader can use to move people into actions that brings goodness to others in the community. In line with this leadership goal, this one specific goal is in order:
I will motivate at least one person each day whether or not that person is someone I know or a stranger that I can win as a new friend.
Action strategies
Leadership goal 1: I will perform each day one good action that the people in the community can see. My strategies to accomplish this leadership goal is:
Every moment each day I will seek to find opportunities to good things for others in public (at least five people) for other people to see, not for the intention of showing off, but for inspiring them to do the same.
When opportunities to do good things for others present in a more private context, such as one-on-one or with less than five people watching, I will proceed doing that good without counting it as towards this leadership goal.
Leadership goal 2: I will participate in public interactions each day with honesty. My strategies to accomplish this leadership goal is:
I will consistently drop by each day into a group of at least five people in order to acquaint with them and interact with them honestly for up to 30 minutes.
I will not limit myself to any group to interact because any person has the potential and opportunity to lead others in their own sphere of influence.
Leadership goal 3: I will interact with others each day from the goodness of my being. My strategies to accomplish this leadership goal is:
I will combine this goal with the Leadership goal 2 and seek to achieve it with the achievement of honesty as planned therein.
Leadership goal 4: I will motivate at least one person each day whether or not that person is someone I know or a stranger that I can win as a new friend. My strategies to accomplish this leadership goal is:
This goal may be sought even if no one is watching.
I will seek to look for one person at least twice each week to motivate in the performance of something good either something that the person had been wanting to do and cannot or something that we both agree as a good that needs to be performed for others.
Anticipated benefits for self and for others

For others: They will discover that being honest is better than dishonesty.
Leadership goal 3:
For self: It will help me clean up my heart from bad values/motives.
For others: They will learn to value honesty with stronger conviction.
