Environmental considerations
Tesco has taken different steps to manage its environment. It has been highly focusing on reducing the carbon emission. The company has been involved in different projects related to reducing carbon emission. Moreover, it has been highly involved in creating awareness among not only suppliers but among consumers as well to reduce the usage of carbon. Because of its efforts Tesco has been awarded as the best retailer for carbon emission by Carbon Disclosure Project’s 2010 & FTSE 350 and Global 500 reports.
Ethical Leadership
The leadership of the Tesco has been highly ethical. The decisions made by the management have been in the best interest of the society and community. The company is not only involved in its environment but it is looking after the health of the people as well. Moreover, the company has been working on creating more jobs and improving the job opportunities in the regions where it operates. The company created 21,000 new jobs last year in the countries where it is operating.

Sustainable consideration
Tesco is also looking to make the overall environment sustainable and for this it has taken several steps. One of the strategies that the company has taken is to reformulate its products so that more healthy and sustainable products are being offered. Moreover the company has encouraged the communities to become more responsible in drinking of alcohol.
The company has also hired 70 Green Champions in order to make the overall processes of the organization sustainable and greener. Not only this, the company is also making different investment in this regard and one of these is the investment made of 25 million for creating the Sustainable Consumption Institution (SCI) at University of Manchester in the year 2007.
Laws and Regulations
The company makes sure that it follows all the rules and laws of the countries where it operates.

Tesco can be said as a successful organization not only financial, but societal as well as ecologically. Tesco has been able to satisfy its people (employees), planet (environment) and still has been able to generate sufficient profits. Therefore it is said to be a successful organization.
