Press Release
With the support of various groups such as the Heroin Hurts, Mr. Jason Jarvis is running for the Sheriff post in Jefferson County, Missouri. Jarvis believes that he can make a change in the county that has been put down by the use of heroin. In terms of qualifications, he has an Associates degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice from the American Military University, besides being a member of the Golden Key Society as well as the Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society.
It is such qualifications that give Jarvis the confidence to run for this post. There are three main priorities that he has. Top on the list is the control of the heroin use menace, which is the main catastrophe facing these communities. With the clear understanding that the county has the largest record of deaths from heroin, he fully understands that he has an uphill task to take care of, and he is prepared for it. Second, he is keen on implementing community-oriented policing service which could go a long way in reducing the rates of crime within the county.
The third priority is dealing with the problem of jail overcrowding by coming up with measures to ensure that the correctional facilities are well equipped. With such a challenge at hand, Mr. Jarvis has to come up with a game-plan on how to improve the office he is vying for. In so doing, he claims that he will offer educational and promotional opportunities for his deputies, as well as opportunities for the students from police academies to provide better services to the community. As a public servant, he intends to create a close linkage with the community by creating strong police and community relationships. Well, after all is said and done, it will be left to the people to decide.
