Abstract
Religion is a form of awareness of the world, due to the belief in the supernatural , which includes a set of moral norm, rituals, behaviors and religious activities and to unite people in the organization (religious community , church) .
Other definitions of religion :
- one of the forms of social consciousness , a set of spiritual ideas that are grounded on the belief in supernatural forces and beings ( gods, spirits ) that are the subject of worship .
- organized worship of a higher power . Religion is not only a belief in a higher power , but establishes a special relationship to these forces : it is, therefore , known activities will directed to these forces .
- spiritual formation, a special type of man's relationship to the world and to himself due to notions of otherness as dominant in relation to the mundane reality.
Also, the term "religion" can be interpreted in such ways as subjective- personal ( individual religion as "faith ", " religion ", etc.) and objective- general (religion as an institutional phenomenon - the " religion ", " worship " " confession " , etc.).
Religious system of representation of the world ( world ) is based on religious belief and is related to the relationship of man to spiritual superhuman world , some kind of reality of super-human on which the person knows something , and that it must in some certain way to orient their lives.
Of particular importance for religion are such things as good and evil , morality, meaning and purpose of life, etc.
.
Why All Religions are "the Same" When We are Studying Them
In today's society is very popular on the idea that every religion is only part of the truth, and all religions are true in some ways , and all lead to the same God who different people at different times, opened in different ways. Let us try to reflect on these statements.
The basis of religion is the testimony. Orthodox theology distinguishes three kinds of revelations. Total Revelation, which is given through a special, God's chosen people - the prophets and apostles. This revelation expressed the Orthodox Church in the Holy Scripture and Holy Tradition. Individual testimony that is given to man in the person of his edification . Natural revelation , that is, those concepts of God , man, and being in general , which can come from the study of oneself and of the world. Many researchers have noted the similarity of different religions religions. Indeed , the natural and personal revelation is available to everyone . Moreover , the Church does not deny that the religious doctrines of other religions, there are true statements . For example , Islam asserts the greatness of God , Zoroastrianism stresses the divine purity , Taoism encourages us to relate to the mysteries of nature with respect and approval of Hinduism that God is near to each of us deserves full recognition of this fact. But we repeat : not the question . For the Christian religious system of Christianity - this is the true system that can contain only a minor error. And any non-Christian religious system - this is an erroneous system containing some truth.
The whole philosophy of the East is to teach the structure of the infinite universe , called the Kingdom of Heaven , which is also called looking for Jainism, Buddhism , Judaism , Christianity , Islam, Taoism, Shintoism , etc. The sole purpose of these religions - teach a man to achieve the most for himself happiness, freedom and health.
The principle of these religions dialectical , paradoxical and difficult . All they need to update and reform . Since the foundation of the world religions has changed so much that many of the precepts simply out of date. To reform the religious people do not need less talented than the founders of religions , but where to get them ?
Master Osho, our contemporary lives in the city of Pune in India , where the Osho Commune International , where the teacher reads his sermons, more like a lecture. He says of himself: "I - Christian , Hindu, Jew , Muslim, because I am not one of them. Truth , once heard , is superior to all of Scripture. All Scriptures point to it. Scripture - nothing but the fingers pointing the moon ; fingers could be a million , and the Moon - one . When you learn this, you 'll learn everything. "
The Buddha says : " Which side do not try the ocean, you will always find it salty ." Whether you eat it out of the Koran , the Bible, the Torah or the Talmud , the taste is always the same . Scripture can not guide you, without you, they're dead. When you reach the truth , all the scriptures come alive . Thanks to you, they are reborn and live.
Not significant which source of religious moral literature you use. This could be the Bible - both the Old and New Testament , the Koran , the Torah , the Talmud , or any monument of Buddhist Vedic literature. All the same , the deep essence of a person , each culture just a few highlights of her in different ways, according to the specific philosophical ethical and ethnic features .

Question #1: What is involved in understanding religion? Why is the study of one tradition not the same as the study of religion? In exploring this issue, be certain to cite and use terms such as descriptive and explanatory reduction, substantive and functional definitions of religion and intrinsic and extrinsic religion, the terms we have been discussing. What do we learn from the excerpt about religions critiquing religions? What questions does this raise for you?
This is a complicated subject that requires emphasis on the particulars, but nevertheless briefly try to explain your thoughts.
Before we talk about religion, you need to understand how it happened . Delve into the details of each I will not, just have no idea about many things , but overall they have. So, once long ago in ancient times there were the first scriptures that talk about God , about how to live properly and many many more. A believer (what I mean by a believer I will discuss later ) certainly say that these writings were given by God to people, but to us , at least that I know I have come a rewriting these same scriptures , respectively , they are created by people . Even the legendary golden plates to the Vedic knowledge completely lost ( or are stored somewhere waiting for its time to reveal to mankind the true knowledge ) . It turns out that all the scriptures , knowledge, learning and the like created by some people who are assigned to them divine power . So be it - I do not deny it . But we need only think of it, you can make a pragmatic conclusion : even if these things, and sent by God , can we be sure of the cleanest and nekorystnyh intentions of those who brought it to the masses? I do not know the answer to that question. I'm only guessing that these teachings were zaniya and adapt, so-called messengers of God under opredennyh nation , under a certain way of life and foundations - hence we have so many religions. If you pay attention , that almost all the ancient writings on all continents of the globe can meet the mention of the flood. Moreover, if we study the ancient monuments of culture, such as the pyramids in Egypt , Mexico, Peru, ancient structures , it can be concluded that the culture in the world was united , and therefore many religions could not be. This they appeared much later. And what do we have ? In ancient times was a common religion , which for some reason was interpreted in different ways, depending on the conditions that surround people. Perhaps existing religions are fragments of the same, and if they are put together , we get such a strong knowledge of which people do not even dare to dream.
Every religion is based on faith. What you believe , and live by . Doubt has no place in the faith , and consequently faithful person should not doubt his religion. So who is a believer ? From the point of view of the church ( we take as an example of Christianity) is a person observing the canons of the church , who knows at least the "Our Father ", etc. etc. From the point of view of human thinking broadly, and not afraid to offer his opinion , the believer knows just what God is. I'm just such a person . Let's go back to religion. Are the scriptures and teachings could prevent war , murder , famine , death ? Many will say of course not - it's just people did not listen to them . And if you remember the Holy Inquisition ? Is not she personally killed thousands of people in the name of the church? And it's sanctity ? ? Why do people go through the path of war and violence , and not through the spiritual path ? Why is it allowed religion ? After all , perhaps , instead of the existing man-made to date a century, we would have had something isn’t being understand in our minds , something different. So what is all the same religion invented ? It is written for a man to take off responsibility (Catholics is a good example ), and it also is the backup policy , something that happened out of the ordinary when political forces dropped his hands , that's when it comes to power and religion .
In conclusion I want to say is that God is not a person and not a person. God - it's so difficult a concept that we with our limited mind just can not grasp . Not enough to believe in God , he is not inclined enough , you just need to know that God exists, and it is presented to us as a religion, and what to believe it is everyone's own business .
