Introduction
Jane “Bitzi” Johnson Milleis is Anglo, who was born and raised in west Texas in a ranch at Los Angeles-long beach- Santa Ana. She divorced, with two grown children, but being a good entrepreneur; she started her software company in Dallas. In1993 she sold it to Dell in 2010 for $2.5 million. She has a sister who is married in southern United States and She is the granddaughter of former governor Joe “Big Daddy” Johnson who served in the year 1954 to 1958 under Conservative Republican. She has also moved around Texas helping the poor and the orphaned children mainly from the Southern United States. Her religion is catholic.
Geographic Support
The first geographical region that she will do well is West Texas. This is because it is the area in which she was born and the other reason is because his grandfather was a former politician in the region which will give her an added advantage as his grandfather’s work was well talked of. So she will use the good name his grandfather left behind to market her name.
The second region where she will get more votes is in Southern United States; a State where her sister lives. Because of the help she has been giving the orphaned children and the poor persons, she has a good reputation, and most of the people in the region appreciate the good work she has been doing. This has improved her chances of getting more votes in the region. Her sister is also in a better position to help her in the campaign because she understands that region better and also the problems facing the people around hence she is in a better position to advise her accordingly.
Metropolis will be the third place for Jane “Bitzi” Johnson Mille to get more votes. This is because metropolitan is mainly occupied by the working class and the job seekers. Metropolis persons are always very sensitive to any economic change. Jane “Bitzi” Johnson Mille with her experience in entrepreneurship is in a better position to understand the factors causing changes in the region and how to handle those problems.
The first place that she will do poorly is in the east Texas. This is because of her religion. In the East, majority of the population are Protestants, because of these, she cannot be sure of getting more votes from the East as her religion will be of concern.
Jane “Bitzi" Johnson Mille will also do poorly in the area that depends mainly in agriculture as the main source of income. This is because she does not understand the field of agriculture as her profession is in computer technology.
The third areas were Mille will not win more votes are regions with a high ratio of men as compared to women. Most men still believe that women’s role in the society is to take good care of the family and not venture into politics. Because of these cultural beliefs, the voters in such region will not be in the favor of Mille.
Demographic Support
Being that she is an Anglos, she is in a better position to collect more votes from the Anglo Americans. This is because the population of Anglos is the highest in the region and she will be in a better position to win, but must convince the Anglos that she is going to be a solution to all the problem they are facing by representing them and fighting for their rights.
Because women are not well represented in the government, and being that she is a woman, she is in a better position to understand all the problems these women are facing. These will increase her chances of getting most of the votes from woman as compared to her men opponents who are men. Being that woman represents more than half of the population in Texas she stands a better chance of winning the election.
Mille will gain votes from all the economic groups. This is because she has worked and associated with both high and low income and earners in the region. The low income earners will vote for her because she represents the minority in the region who are women and the low-income earners who are the poor. Being one of the minority groups she understands what those people fell hence she pose as the best candidate for the minority group.
Campaign Themes
In the field of education, Texas is ranked the 40th in high school graduate in the United States of America. This is an indication that education in Texas is facing a problem that needs to be taken with some seriousness in Texas. Education must be one of the themes she should talk about in her campaign. This theme can attract more votes because all children are at the heart of their parent and anything that affects them affects the parents too. Therefore, when she talks about education she will surely get the support of the parents, and this will better her chances of winning the election.
Economic growth should be felt in every part of the Texas, and also by every individual living in Texas. It is very unfortunate that Texas is rated number three in income inequality. Jane “Bitzi" Johnson Mille should come clearly on this because most the people affected are the poor and are the minority represented in the government but the majority in the population. This theme will enable her to get more votes from the people if the issue is discussed well.
Cutting of taxes is a very important thesis that needs to be considered in case she wants to win the election. High taxes contribute to the high lifestyle hence causing the suffering of most people in Texas. For the cost of living to be regulated so that the citizens can enjoy their life, it is important to reduce taxation on basic commodities. If this theme is addressed well, it can attract many votes.
Win or Lose Evaluation of "Bitzi's"
The chances of Jane “Bitzi” Johnson Mille Wining is very high in the region, this is because she is an Anglo American. Anglo American an ethnic group that has the highest population in the region. The second reason there is a high possibility for Mille to winning the election is because she is a catholic. This is an advantage because Hispania is the second largest ethnic group, which are majorly Catholics. So if the voting is majorly based on religion this is an opportunity that can be utilized very well. In politics, good name and reputation plays a very important role. The public will highly prefer a candidate that has a good track record. This is an advantage to Mille because his father had a good reputation and was respected by most of the citizens. There is a high possibility that the respect gave to her grandfather will also be given to her, and this will attract some more votes hence increasing her chances of winning.
Referring to the 2010 election in which Rick Perry won Bill White you realize the Hispania played a very important role in the election. The winner was determined majorly by the Hispania, the republicans only needed 40% of the votes from the Hispania while the democrats could have won the election if they gathered all the Hispania votes (FrumForum, 2010). According to Jillson, discipline and clean record is a very important factor when holding a public position. He continues to explain that if Rick Perry continues with a clean record it will be hard for Bill White to win her, he fathered explains that only if Rick is involved in a big scandal is when she can be worn (Hylton, 2010). The issue of high school dropout is a very important theme; this is seen as Bill White attacks Rick Perry on her failed duty to control high rate of school dropout and loss of jobs experience in Texas. This is an indication that education is a very serious issue even though the theme of education did not make White win the 2010 election (State and local, 2010).Some of the factors that gave victory to Rick Perry over Bill White is her determination to reach everybody and convince them that she is determined to work harder if elected. Her determination is also evidenced as she campaigns until 7:00 pm to try and reach everybody. For Jane “Bitzi” Johnson Milleis to win the election, she must be determined to reach everybody because every vote is very important (Hoppe and Jeffers, 2010). The candidate’s party also plays a big role in determining the trend of voting (Stiles, 2010) where both White and President Barack Obama both gathered the same number of votes in Texas.
Conclusion
In politics, the themes to be selected must be chosen careful and should be of the interest of the majority. Well-chosen theme will increase the chances of someone to win the election.
