Do electronic media, such as computer games, electronic books and other communication, provides more advantages than conventional media? This is my research question that I am going to break it down in this essay.
The key words are electronic media, conventional media and electronic. With the help of the book titled, Effective Public Relations and Media Strategy, I was able to derive the meaning of the key words. These key words include electronic media and conventional media. Narasimha, (2010), explained that electronic media is data or the information that is developed, distributed and contacted though electronics, (pg. 354). The common example of the electronic media includes electronics books, the electronic me, computer games, internet and other electronically channeled media.
On the other hand, Narasimha (2010) argued that conventional electronics “ are those indigenous forms of communication which has their roots in the culture tradition of the country”. The conventional media are also referred as traditional media that involves theatre, dance and music. This traditional media is communicated in form of song, spoken word, gestures and facial expression.
The book stipulates the advantage that the traditional media has over the electronic media. This advantages includes, direct personal contact between the communicators, immediate feedback and audience participation among other (Narasimha, 394). On the other hand, the advantages of the electronic media are easy and fast accessibility and they store detailed information and numerous theories and facts. Therefore, the source illustrate that, the advantages of electronic media outstands that of conventional media. They [provide a scenario where the user presses the button then gets detailed and relevant information.
