Researching the topic
In selecting the sources that I am to use in my topic, I followed a certain procedure. I first researched the author to find out whether they have the knowledge to write the book. Both authors have written other books related to the topic, which means that they have deep knowledge in the subject. The authors all had a degree course in the related topic. I also evaluated the publisher. The books are published by known publishers. The authors are also affiliated to institutions of higher learning meaning that they have a good reputation.
Researches should use credible sources because the sources determine the quality of the research. It determines the reliability of the research itself since if the sources are not reliable, then it means that the research is also not reliable. Unreliable sources may have wrong information that is based on opinions of people. Using them means that the research done is based on opinions and not facts.
Credible sources are likely to be found at AIU library because the library selects the books from the best authors. The library selects the quality of the books that it avails to the customers. Considering that it is a university library, most of the publishers of the books are people who have specialized in the areas that they are writing on. In that case, they have a deep knowledge on the topic that they address.
The library staff was of great importance because they helped me locate the book that I wanted easily. This ensured that I did not waste a lot of time searching for a book that could have been located easily. The staff also helped me access another book that had great ideas. I was not aware that there was such a book.
