Internal and external data in safety program
Safety programs are planned according and regard to the data collected. Data collection can be either internal or external depending with the safety program target. The internal data collection is found from the reports and record of the organization. The external data collection is from outside the organization. Data collection is always subjected to a specific study that is aimed in the safety of the group investigated.
The subject of the program and the place are the determinant of the type or form of the data to be used. If the safety program targets the employees in an organization, it leads to internal data collected. The outside organization safety program calls for external data collection. Data collection helps in the decision making concerning the safety program especially on the health care. Organizations are supposed to adhere to the rules and regulation of the employees in the working place. Those who work in the warehouses are supposed to be provided with the protective gears as they undertake their daily activities.
While in the field collecting data, one is supposed to exercise ethical practices such as confidentiality of the respondent. The process of gathering data, the findings especially in the health safety, confidentiality is the attribute to ensure the interviewee. This helps in giving the correct information that is trustworthy and beneficial to the safety programming. Finally, in reporting the final report, it should help in meeting the intended purposes in the health care. It should help in improving status of the targeted individuals and community at large. Therefore, confidentiality and trustworthy attributes help to get proper data that is applied in safety programs.
