Social justice, racism and discrimination are correlated and have a rich history that dates back hundreds of years ago. These vices are brought about by social variations among members of a certain location or state. In the United States for instance social justice is majorly influenced by social class, sex, sexual orientation and race. In the 18th and 19th centuries, social injustices in western countries were prevalent where blacks were openly discriminated for their color and entirely served as slaves for the whites. However this humiliation slowly faded away when reforms in social justice were accommodated in the constitution and the rights of every citizen whether black or white respected. This noble act of recognizing all persons however did not entirely eliminate social injustices and racism, in fact research shows the extent to which this menace has gotten to. These findings are based on the state of social injustices and racism in many nations and states across the world in workplaces, schools and other social institutions. It is an unfair treatment targeting certain persons or groups. Our world today is overburdened with all sorts of social injustices where people are humiliate, molested, underrated and even demanded sexual favors by a superior group in the society. Social justice is therefore not politically influenced but instead is socially influenced by selfish and conservative people who have erroneous motives of oppressing mankind.
Yellow rage is an Asian American poem cited by two ladies who are illustrating the state of social injustice that has predominantly targeted women in our society. The poem basically is a cry to the public that sends a clear message of the social decay in the modern day society which by and large oppresses women. It calls an end to social inequalities and humiliation of women who are victims of circumstances. In regards to reception, yellow age meets a live audience that is vibrant and the articulation of it all reaches the targeted audience. The society at large is ailing with incumbent oppression and humiliation of women on a daily basis in their homes and in places of work. The society has failed to play a unitary role of safeguarding and protecting all individuals regardless of their ethnicity, gender, race or social status. The poem is a cry to the society and the federal government who have overlooked the needs and rights of women. Based on social injustices among women in the army is a clip done by La Guerra by the name The Invisible War. The video entails real life experiences of women in the military who have gone through a lot humiliation in their line of work. Some of these incidences occur when junior military woman's request favors like promotions from the seniors. In return, these women are sexually abused or molested. It is hard to believe that the oppression of female workers in developed countries like The United States exists. Cases of women who have been sexually abused and molested are evident in the video most of who were threatened to be fired or murdered if they let the cat of the bag (Kriese 102). It is very unfortunate that these victims still suffer psychologically from the inhuman acts done by their bosses who went Scot free. These findings portray moral decay with numerous injustices in the army. As a societal obligation to protect the rights of all persons, a lot is in question as to why social injustices are prevalent in the military putting in mind that the army is a body of enforcing law and order and therefore should be at the Frontline fighting the menace.
It is morally wrong to underrate and look down on other individual for any given reason. As human beings we all have a right to live freely without constraints. It therefore could be a matter of concern to start an initiative that will advocate for reforms especially in government organs. This initiative will call on board organizations and persons of good will to create awareness in rescuing people from the bondage of injustice. If communities put aside their differences and work together in harmony, this predominant menace of injustice will be eliminated. Likewise, if alliances with goal oriented individuals and nonprofit groups are formed to restore justice in the society, many wounds will heal. Women are their own enemy is a statement that portrays division particularly women in the society. This notion however ought to change and advocate for unity of all. Consequently, if these organizations work together, they will achieve their goal of upholding justice and as a result, love peace and unity will prevail at all levels of life collectively.
