One of the most popular political economists in Europe was Adam Smith who had the chance to judge through examinations the implication of colonies that had transpired for over 300 years. However, even if the analysis he made were dispassionate and very full of meaning for the arguments and insights, he incorporated his bias of being an opposition to the disproportionate regulation of the trades happening among colonies. In addition, Adam Smith had this interrelation with the declaration of independence which contained that all human being around the globe are said to be created as equal. This also entails that bias, prejudice and any sexist comparisons should be eradicated. By the word equal, it means that there should be same intensity of possibilities and opportunities given to each and every person in the community as well as the country. Moreover, the government should have ensured the people that such rights will not be violated. The ideals of Adam Smith stated his definition of free enterprise in which it had the same principles as that of the author of the three other declarations such that all people should have the well-proportioned and balanced as well as equal rights to either sell or buy things and properties that they want for themselves. Also, the price of these things and commodities should also be fluid enough that with the increasing competition among prices, tendencies are it will come to a point that it has the tendency to fluctuate maintaining competitiveness. The idea of Smith with the free enterprise is most known for its regulation among markets that is of orderly management. The acquisition and trade of goods are also allowed to flow. Nonetheless, there is no need for the input of government since they only put on a negative effect on the economic system. Thus, it is in the hands of people which should be traded or not.
View about the World
Based on the Worldly Philosophers’ book, people are more self-centered and lacks concern about their environment and the things happening around them including those of choices among cooperation throughout the society, starvation or the choice to completely distort being selfish and are more of self-interest. In the book, it is also successful in making the readers think if there is a benefit that is received by the society once self-interest is being focused. The idea came up by the fact that there is unending competition among people which greatly initiates serious competition among one another for the goal of attaining their own professional excellence as well as profit. Hence, this usually results to people who do not over charge the society resulting to a larger economic equality. Moreover, there is this called law of accumulation of profit that explains that people who have extra money has the tendency to buy productive machineries. With the existence of these machineries, more products are produced in an efficient, effective and economic way; these results to more income or higher wages for workers that also leads to the continuous buy and sell happening in the market. On the other hand, there is also this population-based obstacle which explains that as more products are being demanded by the people, more labor is needed and thus more workers are being hired. Workers can be hired by offering them higher salaries but these also entail higher number of workers. This then results to reduced wage since the firm should overcome the increase which therefore increases profits once again. It therefore at the end becomes a cycle of unbalanced wealth and poverty among the society which also balances out as time progresses.
Declaration of the Rights of Man and Woman
The declarations about the rights of men and women were largely based on the political and philosophical duties of individualism coming from the Enlightenment. The declarations were based on the natural law theory contradicting the commonly mistaken statement that it was based on authority and religious views and doctrine. Moreover, it has successfully defined the collective and individuals rights of all human being which are universal and cannot be invalidated under any circumstances. Also, it included the rights of people to life, property as well as liberty that only have reservations for the common good. Based on the theory, the government has the most important role of securing that every detail included in the declaration would be followed. The declarations of the rights for all people also has this goal to eradicate the feudalism and existing exemptions on tax and promoted the popular sovereignty which greatly opposed the so-called divine rights of monarch family or kings. Thus, it can be concluded that Adam Smith had the same principles as that of the declarations which are more pro-citizen than pro-government since what is being focused by his principles and that of the declarations are the privileges and rights of being a human. Their principles are more likely securing the conservation of the imprescriptible and natural rights that include the aforementioned ones and the resistance to being oppressed. Lastly, every rights included in the declaration is considered sacred and applies to all however with some reservations that also abide the law. The government is not a body of power which can basically just cancel whatever was written; the people can greatly oppose and object if they feel violated. And when time comes that their rights and power separation is not assured, therefore, it can be concluded that there is no constitution.
