Life is the first thing in the consideration menu of any country. Humanity is necessary, and then follows the other factors of law and legislation. This fact is necessary for the United States of America. Notably, many individuals in the world look up to America to lead them in all matters of life. For these reason, the scenario in play requires simple implication of humanitarian believes.
Considering the woman’s situation, it is clear that she is a young mother, having her second child at 23. Hence, poverty may have had its cause with her in the past, or even at resent. Secondly, the fact that she is living in the US illegally means that her reason for leaving her hometown are solely due to search of greener pastures in the maritime United States. Her husband may not have the capability to pay the money on point. Truthfully, leaving in any country illegally is wrong, but it would be even worse if the country in question leaves a mother and a child to die due to negligence in a country recognized as a humanitarian country
The best action for this scenario is to offer the best in assistance to this woman and fine the family later on for breaking the law. The fine is important in payment of tax evaded by them in the period of their stay. The baby is born in America and is thus an as an American. Further, clear investigations may be established to ascertain the means used by the couple to enter the country. The couple’s movements are to be in track for assessment of any change in behavior or possibility of other illegal immigrants visiting them.
Market justice will not be the just cause to take for there is no worthy value compared to the life of a person. The situation is between saving the woman and the child’s life, and forcing in profits from the payment they will get from the couple. The best action to take is to forfeit market justice and groom credit ideas in play. Better, the couple may have a chance to apply for Medicaid and possible pa for the hospitalization.
A free market makes it easy for the doctors to attend to the woman, and receive payment late, but in the case of a no free market, every entry requires payment and clear evidence of medical eligibility. Important to note is that a free market is one that deals with consumers, producers, and not regulatory bodies (Bockman, Johanna, 2011). Social justice principle describes justice with consideration of equality and solidarity (Zajda, 2006). In the case of this scenario, the woman must be like any other American. Moreover, I stand as a socialist.
Question E
Technology and science has an optimization effect on health care in that it has opened doors to an overwhelming array of drugs that prevent, cure and manage critical disease like polio, which for a long time had a great hand in the deaths of many people. Further, technology developed machines that continue to reduce the effects of cancer to a patent of the disorder. It is true that science and technology are the unique superpowers in the medical field.
Evidently, all the experiments done to discover or uncover the potential of certain plants and animals in curing diseases incorporates scientific values of failure and success, which is the actual basis of scientific study. A good example of this is malaria. As a disease, a trees from the African content was initially used for it treatment capabilities to the disease. Some year’s late, malaria developed immunity against quinine forcing further research that produced an even better treatment that is more secure and perfectly effective.
On the other hand, technological use in health may result to damming effect. A good example of this is the introduction of X-rays in the scanning of body fractures or other forms of internal injuries. Although a boom, x-rays can cause wrong effects in different patients of cancer especially when proper test have not been done
Further, many animal rights activist like PETA, condone the research process involved in medical discoveries from its nature of sacrificing animal in order to arrive at the perfect combination.
Conclusively, technology and science are like children, when they are growing they can cause a lot of harm and expenditure, but in full growth, the parents may enjoy the fruits of maturing them. The future of science brightens by the day and all the negative effects will and must slowly vanish from the earth by further discoveries.
