Part I
A young Caucasian man from Miami, Florida was sentenced to 19 years in prison for grand theft auto and violence on July 10th, 2013. The 19-year old stole a BMW M3 five days earlier in a parking lot in Miami. The culprit had evaded detection for 24 hours but was later caught up with by the police when he was driving on 18th Street. He had a young female companion with him in the car at the moment. The 18 year old brunette was later identified as his girlfriend.
It was midday when two police officers on patrol spotted the high-performance car outside 18th street café. The police officers noted it matched the description on a vehicle that dispatch had issued an APB on. The duo was driving at 30 miles per hour when the police attempted to pull them over. On seeing the police, the driver stepped on the gas, recklessly driving through the town at 100 miles per hour.
The chase led the police through the suburbs and the city center, with serious damage to property to public property being incurred. Numerous police back-up units joined the chase as they tried to end the chase in the shortest time possible. The driver had evaded the police with his high-risk maneuvers and deathly stunts on the pavements through a suburban area. The police had led him into a one way street and managed to box him in before he tried to escape on foot. Four police officers gave chase and subdued the culprit after a 300 yard foot chase.
When the charges were read to him in court, the young man smirked as he pleaded guilty to the charges. The young man’s attitude foot to the judge as the ruling and sentenced was firm. The judge said the sentence will serve as an example to curb the rising number of grand-theft auto cases in Miami. The sentence also included a $500,000 fine for damage to property. The sentence will see the culprit spend 19 years in prison.
Part II
The experience on this summer’s trip to Kenya was not only unique but world class. At the airport, our party of 15 was greeted by a welcome party of 25 including African dancers. We were led to a five star hotel once we landed in JKIA international airport in the capital city of Nairobi. The hotel’s accommodation were better than advertised, as the finishing and décor in the rooms was artistic and unique with a unique blend of African and contemporary styles.
All the features advertised were present in our quarters as we enjoyed the luxury of well-furnished and equipped accommodation with everything working. The staff was well prepared and organized as they seem to know every facet of the establishment. The every facet of our travel was taken care of in a seamless and effortless manner. Our stay was without any drama or hick-ups.
The entertainment throughout our stay was top of the class as some of the evenings featured some top class cultural performances by local artistes and musicians. The price and billing at the end of the trip was equivalent to the advertised fees. The value for service was accurate as the establishment provided all supplementary services and amenities that were advertised. Our transport was taken care of the location had all the amenities such a casino, pool and gym that were all advertised.
