Introduction:
In the context religious belief and the theories of evolution, a relationship exist which attempts to explain the foundation and fundamental aspects relation to each other. The religious ideas and aspects at times concur with the theory of evolution but other aspects conflicts and varies greatly. The comparison and contrast of evolution-religion relationship is essential in order to expose our brains to deep thinking so as to understand our general lives as well as religious beliefs in a more deep perspective. The relationship between evolution and religion is therefore a very essential tool in understanding the pillars of each religion and the weak points of each religion which needs to be supportive evidence in order to convince the beliefs to stay firm in their faith unless they are challenged by the theories of evolution (Das, 2011pg18). The theories have a positive relation with most religious to some extent but they tend to differ greatly in relation to the formation and stages of development.
In relation to the conflict model, Livingstone, Whose Science? Which Religion? Played an important role in demonstrating the relationship between science and religion in relation to the way the facts are presented in order to portray the intended the message to the people. This also shows the extent to which the scientific facts and theories can be relied in presentation of theories pertaining to the existence of God. The importance of science in providing the validity and proofs of various religious aspects are elaborated in this article. The role of science in provision of facts pertaining to various aspects of religions like Christianity and Islam is well explained and elaborated. It also shown that science and religion occupies two different spheres of life therefore making no big difference in relation to various activities and belief systems. This article also gives an elaboration that different settings and traditions present a different sets of beliefs which at times show similarities with scientific revolution but many are the conflicts between the science and religion due to irrationality of science pertaining to methods of collecting and organizing as well as analysis of such theories of evolution.
In relation to Paley-The Design Argument, the conflicting ideas between naturalism and existence of God are elaborated in detail. The theories and arguments related to existence of God were critically analyzed in order to provide a clear understanding of the difference between evolution and existence of God. Much emphasis was given on whether God exists in relation to the theories of evolution and philosophical arguments. The philosophical arguments claims that that God does not exist .The challenge of philosophical arguments leads to a conflict between the theories of naturalism and creationism (Ruse, 2001 pg26).
The information also shows weaknesses of the scientific evidences to prove that God does not exist. The anthropological apparatus also fails in presenting reliable and valid evidence pertaining to the inexistence of God. The apparatus are therefore not effective in presentation of evidence making the arguments null and void. The positive relationship between the two works of writing in showing the superiority of religion over the scientific theories and philosophical arguments relating to the existence of God was also clearly elaborated. The two articles also presented that religion and science can coexist due to the different and important aspects of life they present. It is therefore clear that religion and science wholly depends on each other in order to serve their purpose in the right manner.
In the context of Paley-The Design Argument, provides a clear analysis of the two sphere-model where the relationship between Religion and evolution are analyzed in two steps. The author of this article therefore presented information in a manner that the arguments are first stated then evidence is provided on how the theories and postulations can be relied upon in making relevant decisions pertaining to religion and evolution. This piece of writing present the two-stage process of presenting theories and philosophical arguments relating to the existence of God and the evidence they present in order to challenge the existence of God(Scott, 2004 pg32).
On the other hand, Livingstone, Whose Science? Which Religion? Clearly shows the two-staged process of analyzing both religion and science separately then give the conclusion base on the ideologies from the two fields. The two spheres are therefore analyzed fully leading to a conclusion which reflects then ideas from the two aspects.
The two-sphere model played an instrumental role in showing clear differences between the religious aspects and the theories of evolution in showing their impact on the lives of human beings. Their effect is clearly shown by the two-staged model since both fields are fully analyzed leading to reasonable conclusions in relation to religion and evolution. The two articles have taken into consideration the two-sphere model in presentation of facts and theories as well as arguments pertaining to religion and evolution thereby giving reasonable comparisons and contrast made which further facilitates the coexistence of both religion and science in the society.
In the context of continuum model, Paley-The Design Argument shows close relationship between the arguments as well facts pertaining to religion and evolution. This also clearly gives the extremist ideas relating to the evolution and religion in order to show the distinct differences between the religion and evolution aspects. This helped in showing the clarity of ideas and arguments both in evolution and religion. This author presented many ideas from several sources pertaining to evolution and religion in order to facilitate the contrast for easier analysis of such aspects as well as providing enough support and evidence to the theories of evolution and religion(Scott, 2005 pg22).
In the context Livingstone, Whose Science? Which Religion? Shows a two-sphere model by clearly presenting the extremes of science and religion. The ideas from various scientific tests as well as anthropological tests are analyzed in here in order to show the extreme differences between science and religious aspects. The variety of ideas relating to religion and science played a very important role in showing the scientific evidence to show the contradiction of religious beliefs with truth of actual aspects of life.
The extremist views and ideas relating to the differences between religious beliefs and the evolution theories and aspects. The instructions and ideas from both articles therefore played an important role in demonstrating the diverse aspects of religion and evolution in the society as approached by different authors.
In conclusion the aspects of both religious and evolution aspects are clearly elaborated in order to provide deep understanding of the beliefs and truths. The theories therefore shows the ideas from various scientific experiments and philosophical arguments in relation to the existence of God. This therefore give elaborate analysis of differences and similarities of the various aspects of religion and evolution.
