Determination of the most appropriate objectives and trade-offs
The identification of the best goals and trade-offs for the project would be influenced by various factors such as the number of workforces attached to the group. The financial efficiency and the ability to assess the company are potential to deliver and also work to enhance profitability. As the manager of St. Hampton’s Hospital, I would ensure that all the customers are entered into the electronic system so as to increase efficiency as well as creating the most appropriate (Lemonis, 2014).
I would do a trade-off for the workers ability to work in large numbers to enhance the most appropriate outcome for the business. I would ensure that employees commit to the set organizational goals and objectives (Gino et al. 2006).
The application of the weighted method to measure success would be based on the achievement of the set organizational goals and objectives of ensuring that all the people in the organization are entered into the database.
How might use of a SWOT analysis play a role?
I would use the SWOT analysis in the business organization to identify shall the weaknesses with the new technology which might be a source of problems to the firm. I shall also be able to analyze the strengths of the new technology to enable expand the business, and get more customers and make more profits. I shall also be able to identify all the threats from the new technology and even the competitors to do away with risks in the business (Mindtools, 2016).
What role might benchmark play?
The benchmarking is a major strategy in the business which creates the opportunities for expansion of the firm. Benchmarking acts the business organizing point where a business sets its foundation as well as enacting its objectives for the organization. I shall set the company’s objectives to make sure the business and the new technology are well utilized.
Assume that the network for this project is provided in Figure on the second page. Also assume that it is not possible to accomplish tasks A, D, and E any faster than the durations provided in the on the second page. What other data would be needed to determine if project crashing can occur?
I would use the available information which is provided in the data sets for the organizations to ensure that I achieve the set goals within the set time frame. I would also employ all the raw data and the information which had been used before for the organization to ensure that I facilitate the results. I would also collect data from the fields, from the patients themselves, as well as the various wards in the hospital to ensure that there is an achievement for the set goals within the stipulated timeframe.
5. If we now add in the assumption that activity D and activity F require the same person (resource), then we are faced with an example of resource leveling. Either D or F must be delayed. How would we determine which resource leveling option is preferred?
There are various strategies which are used in the cases for resource leveling in an organization. The process of resource leveling depends on factors such as the set time frame, some allocated resources, the availability of the manpower as well as the technological know how to adjust the set goals.
The resource leveling is a procedure which requires the setting of the organizational goals and objectives based on the parameter such as the achieved goals and objectives, the time used to reach the set goals, as well as the manpower and resources utilized. The level of success is also measured in various components such as the damages and the casualties and losses made. Resource leveling shall also be based on the urgency of the matter at hand, to ensure that the most important projects get the best resources and that no project is favored over the other.
