Internal recruitment would suggest finding trainers inside the company, establishing compensation system for overtime for trainers or employee layoff for the period of trainings. Significant benefit of this option is that supposed trainers already knows operations standards of the company and can provide more in-depth analysis and trainings of higher quality comparing to invited mentors. Also, reallocating current employees helps to save money associated with hiring new members of the factory.
Cost-benefit analysis for internal recruitment:
Cost of cross training: an employee 20 hours (1 week at 4 hours of training per day) x $12(avg hourly wage of warehouse employee) + bonuses for overtime (150% of salary per hour)= $600
Benefits: expected time for establishing reason and fixing it is 5 days (1 day to organize training+ 2 days of trainings + 1 day to evaluating results+1 day to implement changes).
External recruitment
Another option for consideration is starting external recruitment in order to search for an expert outside the company. It is suggested to organize a weekend cross training for employees in this case. The aim of this training is to move people around to fix master data.

Cost- benefit analysis in this case will be based on following numbers:
Cost of finding a trainer: 8 hours of HR manager to find trainer ($46x8 = 368) + salary for the trainer (around $500 per weekend) = $868.
Benefits for external recruitment: Training from outside expert will provide fresh perspective on the situation and saves time as responsibility for creating training will be delegated to the trainer. Expected time of fixing the issue in this case is 4 days.

As to our understanding the reason why current printers at Intel are not comparable to IOE system is wrong type of JavaScript. As J76`s IOE was designed specifically for the purposes of the company, devises should have correspondent updates in order to cooperate with the system. That is why one of Intel`s programmers needs to be assigned to fix this error. Taking into the fact that IOE system was designed at least partially by outside developers, it is highly suggested that an employee of J76 go into the system and change it from PST to MST and enter needed master data correctly. In case there is no one among workers who possess required knowledge, he or she should be trained to do so. As soon as scripts are updated, printers are expected to work properly with IOE.
Update from printers manufacturer
Also it will help to submit official request to printer`s manufacturer and consult on this subject. The company may have new developments on its own and install updated operation system to current printers. This will be less expensive than buying new equipment.
New printers
However, if none of the above mentioned scenarios works, the company should consider buying new printers that are comparable to IOE. For this company should do a research in order to be sure that new devices will work properly with IOS. Also company should consider reselling current printers in order to decrease expenses.
