MEMORANDUM A
It has been noted with concern the frequent violation of the parking regulations within the business premises either intentionally or otherwise. This has been characterized by the failure by individuals to stick to their designated parking zones for reasons best known to them. As a result, a lot of disorder has been witnessed in the transport sector of the company over the recent past leading to serious conflicts among workers as they struggle to get parking spaces.
The cases that have been reported indicate that certain individuals have been parking even at the loading zones, for instance, forcing our security personnel to track them down and impound their vehicles, something that should not happen in our company. Other departments have also raised concerns over the same where they claim their designated parking zones have been intruded and occupied by other workers who do not belong to their departments. Moreover, the zones that were reserved for our business clients too, have suddenly become our residential parking areas which at times make our esteemed clients lack where to park whenever they visit us for important meetings or even when they make courtesy visits.
These actions have prompted the management to take decisive measures to curb this menace and bring it to an end. This comes after the management has received several complaints emanating from different quarters over the same issue of poor parking. The management has, therefore, as a preventive measure to restore order, proposed that;
i. All workers will be required to obtain the Company’s policy document from their various departmental heads upon which they will then be required to verify it and then append their signatures on the same as an assurance that they will adhere to the new regulations,
ii. The Vice President, Mr. Watson has laid down the laws that once they take effect will ensure that no more such cases are reported, and the situation gets better iii. Workers will take individual responsibilities for any disorder caused at the parking areas due to using unauthorized areas,
iv. All workers will be expected to stick to their designated parking zones at all times to avoid inconveniences and finally,
v. Any contravention of the above shall attract a penalty on the side of the offender.
It’s, therefore, my sincere hope that these new changes will be adhered to for our smooth operations.
