Hong Kong is having a primary position in Asia. Mainly, it is an important city and plays acrucial role as the entrance to China’slandmass and is the hub for most of the Asian countries.
With 1,108 square kilometers of land, about 24% of land has been used for different purposes. Hong Kong is made of about seven millions of people and around 90% of 11.9 million passengers are using the public transportation, which includes thick rails, buses, minibuses, light rail, demand response paratransit, and ferries. Hong Kong is having a positive growth of the population and the increase of use of public transit from people around the world. The roads in Hong Kongremain the bestprofoundly utilized in the sphere. About 630 000 busesare on 2 086 kilometers of roads. It is graduallypuzzling to offeran extracapacity of the road to satisfy the traffic burdens.
Majority buses in the city are a double-decker, and several have air conditioners. The available buses attend to passengers in HK Island, New Territory, Kowloon and several portions of Lantau with an economical price (Guide). Additionally, public light buses are also widely used in HK. Two categories of conventional light bus serve the town, one for fixed itineraries while the other one is for variable routes.
The town's Mass Transit Railway (MTR) is current, fast and simple to adapt. Railroads are the support of the entire transportation system in this region. The town's MTR system at this moment operate nine tunnel lines, one airport direct route, one light rail structure having twelve paths and one tourist towline car scheme Ngong Ping 360.
Trains are also a preferred method of transport forpassengers starting from Beijing to the city of Hong Kong. Since the express passenger facilities are economicalcompared toinflight services, it is a decisionthat majority intercity travelers have to make.
Since Hong Kong is established from a fishing community, theregion contains a lot of seawaters and docks and hence the use of ships. There are day-to-day express sailings transmission across the city and Shenzhen. There are a total of four cross-borderlineshipdocks positioned in the HK Island, all the way to TuenMun.
Trams are inexpensive and move unhurriedly in the business districtof HK Island and therefore anopportunity to appreciate the representationsnearby. Moreover, ferries are a preferred choice when people are not in a rush. Majority use them especially during the holidays.
Payments are made through the Octopus card, an automated cash payment method, which provides a substitute to the old-style notes and silvers. This card is offered for buying in each location of the Mass Transit Railway structure. The Octopus card permits payment to public transportation (like trains, motor vehicle, trams, ferryboats, and minivans), and similarly at car parks meters, accessibility provisions, stores, fast-food eateries and majority vending gears.
On riding a bus to Popway Hotel at Chatham Road South, I noticed that people from different backgrounds used that particular bus. There were both elderly, and young people in the bus, and several individuals were from a different race. The experience was good; the terminus was clearly indicated, and it was not expensive. I alighted at Hong Kong Science Museum, and the fare was 33 HKD for every individual. I would like to know the factors that the passengers consider before choosing a particular form of transport since all the public buses offer almost like services.
Hong Kong town is well functioned by public bus roads, transporting travelers to and from majority portions of Hong Kong. Relaxed and moderately low-priced, they give an appropriate carrier choice.
