The public relations department Philadelphia University seeks to create and increase awareness, understanding and support of the university’s vision, mission and accomplishments. We are looking for our next team member as an entry level public relations- Community Relations Coordinator; a position we improve through a broad training program.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with developing and executing marketing and public relations strategies to support brand awareness and help the university maintain cordial relations with the public.
Execute community outreach programs to ensure satisfaction of customers, delivery of
Monitor public opinion to identify trends and make estimates of public acceptability of the University’s activities while identifying concerns and expectations that the public may have.
Any other that may be assigned principal officers of the university administration.
Professional and Personal SkillsThis is an entry level position, so all training is provided however the following experience is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Great problem solving skills, a team player but with the ability to work independently and make decisions without supervision
Capacity to maintain proficient attitude and presence all the time; tech savvy, with great skills in Microsoft office suite.
Demonstrate drive, competence and flexibility; the ability to cope under pressure; creative, imaginative and innovative with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Technologies used by the Police
In-Car Camera Systems; A camera is set up on the inside of the patrol vehicle to capture occurring events involving the public.
Radios; Communication systems used in law enforcement. These have advanced digitally to incorporate sharing of pictures of suspects, bulletins, prints, footage and criminal records in an instant.
Yes, they are very effective. The radios help cops liaise together to capture criminals even in a chase while the cameras, capturing both intended and unintended footage, help them capture criminals especially during policy stops and sobriety tests. The camera is a silent witness and contributes to evidence in a court of law and ensures officer professionalism.
