It is a contemporary museum of Australia which presents innovative arts, technology, and science at one place under the wall of Powerhouse Museum. It was established in 1879 and on an international level it is known as MAAS due to the famous exhibitions and for the caliber of their collection. The major activities of MAAS include; display of science, history, technology, decorative arts, music, and transport. Moreover, it also demonstrates Australian culture, history, and lifestyle. The MAAS collection of separate items is around 500,000. There is a range of permanent galleries in which various exhibitions and programs are arranged .
MAAS is a rapidly growing company that has achieved good market reputation and popularity. Therefore, the management system needs to be strong. For that, the human resource department of the company is focusing on staff recruitment to deal with increased number of exhibitions and learning programs at the museum. Therefore, they give training to their employees. As there is a flow of international and national visitors, so the company must avoid discrimination while recruiting the new staff. The company is famous, and the work load is high so, the employees of the company seek strong compensation and benefits from their employers. Therefore, the worker’s compensation programs are designed well by the company.
The external environment of the company is different because museums in Australia are not appropriately following the human resource requirements. Therefore, MAAS focuses on the improvement and uniqueness.
There are a job in the training sector, education, and research sector as well as management sector of MAAS. For that, the new inductions will be made considering their qualifications. Each employee will be hired according to their required qualification for each sector must be in the same field like management sector will need people with good managing skills as well as relevant qualification too. People with relevant qualification and skills will improve the workforce of MAAS.

Therefore, to ensure best practices the key areas to focus on the HR strategy are staff recruitment, training program, workers’ compensation, and addressing of issues .
The company needs to focus on staff recruitment, and it is an important factor. The factor is termed to be important because the company plans for a 100% growth in the coming five years for which they need to hire an efficient workforce. Training of the staff is mandatory to ensure quality services are provided to the customers. The company also needs to focus on workers’ compensation as it is a motivation factor and helps in retaining them. Moreover, it is essential for the company to take care of the workplace issues. The company must have set of defined rules that help the employees to address the issues they are facing in the organization, and the role organization will play in solving the addressed issues .
The main aim of the organization towards the requirement of the workforce is that the workforce must be interdisciplinary. The workforce that joins the company must be of such nature that it can handle more than one function at the job. The company wants people that can work in different fields as it helps the workforce to innovate and excel at their job. In addition to it, the workforce must have good communication skills and must be able to adjust to different environments and deal with different types of people. The workforce works as a team. MAAS aims to bring changes and for that, they have designed new strategies. The company has extended the organizational goals, and they are planning to deal double audiences in next five years. The plans of MAAS include increased the number of audiences and for that, they will have to organize and arrange education trips, exhibitions, education programs, national and international level events, and a new addition to the museum as well as they want to build online audiences. In order to do all that the HR strategies will also need to be changed to deal with future workforce needs . Therefore, HR department must have to focus on the development of current workforce and hiring the new ones. For that, conduction of training programs is necessary by giving latest knowledge regarding technology and online engagement. It is also necessary that the good compensation and benefits strategies must be designed to motivate the current employees to achieve the broader organizational goals. For the new induction, the training is also necessary to let them learn the organizational goals and culture. Moreover, it is also necessary that the new staff must have appropriate skills to deal the future audiences, events, and programs. It is also necessary that the HR department should provide communication changes to the new and old employee to strengthen the workforce and to achieve organizational goals.
