The decline of joint family system is because of the elevation of the nuclear family system. These changes have an intensive impact on business since it increase more demand for household appliances. Marriage is the pillar that increases the size of the family, which as a result increase the demand. To meet the increased demand, the existing business units are expanded and set up of more business units is established to comply with production capacities. In Paraguay, divorce is rare due to a strong influence of the Roman Catholic Church. Additionally, Paraguayans are bonded by an intensive culture that enhances strong family ties. Family equality, divorce deterrence and rights in the family all enhance and contribute to firm marriage and family systems.
