All through high school and college, a student must choose subjects according to their ability. These subjects help shape their career path early in life. By the time a student is done with college, it is common knowledge to expect them to get an entry level job in a discipline that will offer growth of their career path: or one they feel passionate about. Of course not all subjects are normally chosen: there are some, such as mathematics and language that are crucial to development of intellect and communication. Entry level jobs are available in most companies looking to absorb young fresh minds from college full of promise. These jobs serve to orient a college graduate to the employment industry. The main challenge at this point: How to get the job.
I have an immense passion for arithmetic application. This is why for the purposes of this paper; I have chosen banking as my entry level job. I would like to be a banker in Miami, Florida upon graduation from college. According to a few online websites, an entry level Banking Finance is paid approximately $35,000 a year with additional benefits. All that is required is a four year degree and a commitment to full time work. A similar job in banking on a different website quotes a $35,000 - $40,000 a year. It also insists that the said applicant must have graduated after a 4 year degree and had experience in banking via internship or with an entry level experience of 0-5 years. A third such website with job opportunities on entry level bank teller is offered $11.23 per hour for services rendered. An additional skill in Spanish language is a requirement.

I conducted an informational interview some time back to determine wht the banking business really entails and the responses I recorded were sufficient to inform my decision making. The interviewee was a family friend I had acquainted myself with while in high school. He, Thomas, has been in the banking Industry for almost 10 years now. In his opinion, banking needs somebody who is committed to his employment objectives. He stressed that an entry level banker must be ready to catch up with banking trends very quickly and accurately if they expect to survive in the industry. A point worth noting is that fact that one must dress to professional capacity and take a 1800 shift on how to address customer issues and handling customer challenges in an amicable way that spells confidence.
The wealth of information that I have found on websites with job offerings in banks was quite informative. I have always believed that bankers simply crunch numbers and facilitate cash transactions for customers: but it is more than just that. From what I can gather, a banker must be a well versed person in the banking arena, who exudes confidence, dresses in a manner that commands respect and most of all, should be a good listener. I believe I have what it takes to take on the position of a banker in Miami, Florida.
