Introduction
Comutec Technologies is a multinational telecommunications Company. The company is planning to expand and start providing information technology services. The company is to deal with both the software and hardware solutions. Several departments are to be added into the company which is dedicated to different operations depending on the area of specialty. The departments are to be headed by administrators and managers depending on the nature of the job required. In the field of information technology, we are planning to deal with the sales, repair and maintenance of the Computer systems. The company is also to provide internet services, webhosting services, web-designing, domain registration and software development.
Each department in the company is autonomous and performs its functions without any form of interference by members from other departments. The departments are headed by managers. The managers are charged with the responsibility of assigning tasks to different system implementers whenever a task is available. The managers also prepare departmental reports which are submitted to the Executive Director on a monthly basis.
Information technology is a very broad field and a person cannot sufficiently exhaust it. Some of the areas in Information Technology include: Database design, network administration and software development among others. (Shelly et al., 1999) The diagram below shows the organizational structure of the company.
i. Economic system
The Australia’s Economic system is favorable for the sales of the products from Comutec Technologies. There are also fewer companies that are providing the same types of goods and services. This has led to low competition thus making the environment suitable for conducting business.
Initially Egypt had a good economic system and their market was very stable. However, the situation changed soon after the uprising that saw the former president forced to resign. Currently they do not have a very strong economic system that can promote the sales of some of the company’s products.
France has a good economic system that can help us market our goods. However, there is a lot of competition since there are several firms in France of this nature that also provide similar services.
ii. Political environment
Has had a stable political environment in the recent past that makes it a very suitable market for the sale of our products.
The political environment in Egypt is not stable. There have been a series of demonstrations in the recent past that makes it unfavorable for the sale of our products.
The political environment of France is generally stable despite the few instances of demonstrations in the recent past. This has however not affected our business in France.
iii. Legal and regulatory environment
Australia has very few legal and regulatory restrictions. Foreigners are allowed freely into the country that makes it very possible for the sale of our products to Australia.
There are some restrictions that have been put forth by the Armed Forces especially to the non-Egyptians. This has impacted negatively our business in Egypt which was one of our main export destinations.
France is a member of the European Union. The European Union has some regulations that is imposed on the member countries. Some of the restrictions do not favor our business in France and other member countries of the EU.
iv. Technological environment
Australia has a very good technology friendly environment. The provision of technological services is on demand and there are few companies offering the services to the citizens of Australia. This makes it a very good environment for marketing of our products and services.
Egypt has also developed well in terms of technology though they are behind Australia and France in terms of development. There are various opportunities which are available in the country thus making the market very suitable for us.
France has a very well developed infrastructure for technology. This makes it very easy for us to find a ready market suitable for the sale of our products since there are readily available consumers.
v. Ethical system
Australia do not have any kind of ethical practice that can hinder business in their country. They have a very good atmosphere that encourages business by people from different parts of the world. This made it possible for us to penetrate different sections of the country.
Egyptians believe that they should give some priorities and privileges to Arabs and Muslims before considering other people with different backgrounds.
The ethical practices in France also do not deter one from doing business freely. People from different places can conduct their businesses in this country without any sense of discrimination.
vi. Social responsibility indicators
Australia promotes the involvement of investors in social responsibilities. This is a very good process since it helps in providing services to the people and at the same time, the company can sufficiently advertise itself.
Egypt also promotes the involvements of companies in Social responsibility programs. With this process, a company can easily advertise the company.
France also has a good layout for promoting social responsibilities programs. It also helps as a business enterprise markets itself as they return to the community.
vii. Cultural dimension
Australia also has people with different ethnic backgrounds. This makes it very easy for us to conduct our business successfully because of the varied culture.
Egypt has only one culture and they usually do not easily mingle with people from different places thus making it hard for us to penetrate the market further.
France is a country that has multiple cultures. There are people from different places all over the world. Conducting business in France is therefore easy as it is easy to transact business with different groups of people with varied cultures as opposed to people from one place with fixed minds. This aspect boosts our trade in France.
Conclusion
The data collected above from the three different countries demonstrated different results that were not similar to the results obtained earlier on. I could choose investing more in Australia since in Australia most of the requirements were met. The political environment of the country was stable, economic system and the legal regulatory environments were favorable. This means that when the goods for the company are sold in Australia, the company is likely to get more revenue from such sales as opposed to selling the same product in either France or Egypt.
