Entrepreneurs operating any business would at all time want to make things right in order to realize success. However, at times, they make mistakes either consciously or unconsciously which sabotage the progress of their business. These mistakes could be: lack of marketing and advertising plan, providing poor quality coffee and not understanding what one is selling. In any business, marketing and advertising are essential elements that determine the success (Brennan, 2011). Essentially, there is a need to understand your target group. In this case of a coffee shop, the owner could do a research to find out how many people are willing to visit this coffee shop. By doing this, this owner will be able to estimate the expected average sales per day. Advertising, on the other hand, will make people aware of the coffee available at this particular shop. This creation of awareness in regard to the coffee shop will, in turn, boost the sales.
Common errors that normally happen at the airport that may cause great inconvenience include wrong names, wrong destination and wrong dates. Sometimes these errors occur as a result of a phone or online booking; where the client personal details are not registered by the systems as desired. Some names may appear to be similar, and the airport crew may schedule someone for say a London airline instead of the real destination which may England. This error may take a client to the wrong destination and cause a great bother -more so if this person is new to the area.
In the case of a restaurant, common error made by the management or the restaurant staff may cause a lot of discomfort on the side of the clients. Errors such as giving wrong change, operating in a dirty environment, playing loud music besides provision of undesired drinks and foods to clients hamper success to the business. In any case, if the customer is not satisfied with the services provided in this particular restaurant, the owner has no reason being in business.
In the electronic stores, errors such as not giving warrants to items sold would lower the sales in the long run. Electronic gadgets should be sold with the user guide and manual. In the event these documents are missing, there may be a problem on how customers use their devices.
Carpet cleaners often make mistakes and numerous errors in the course of cleaning their carpets. Some of these carpet cleaners do not remove spills and stains while still fresh. This behavior makes carpets have permanent stain marks: giving the carpet an ugly look. Carpet cleaner should also make it a habit to consult professional cleaners who use special cleaning equipment. By doing so, carpets will be ever clean.
Poor operation management in the above-named organization would result into more mistakes; reduction is general sales and eventually closing down of the whole business. If the customers’ needs are not satisfied, the business begins to dwindle, and finally, it ceases to exist. Managers and CEOs should play their roles well.
