This essay focuses on the idea of objectification as it is displayed in a video production and it arouses attention on a number of aspects: how people of the opposite gender are regarded by the community involved, the media’s portrayal of women, and how women interact with men in the media concerning objectification. Obviously, the producer has an objective for the release of the presentation into the public domain.
Gender dynamics
The media in question deals with both sexes, and it demonstrates how women are ill-treated by men in pursuit of self-gratification and personal gain.
Media’s Portrayal of Women
The women are portrayed as being subjected to some sort of discrimination that is sex-oriented. They are depicted as being vulnerable, and there are images that show explicit objectification and provocation of women like sexual assault and murder. Moreover, the media gives a clue that some advertisements trivialize the idea of women mistreatment.
The women are also treated objects for creating attention in the media. They are shown to be half-naked, and some are seen having a struggle on how they can improve their physical appearance in order to enhance self-worth and self-image. As a result, the women apply bodily manipulations referred to as cosmetic surgery. They embrace the idea that their bodies are objects to be constantly improved such that they gain the favor of the public in matters of recognition and regard. Besides, women are thought to regard their looks more than what they feel, who they are, and what they can accomplish.
Women’s Interaction with Men
The men rape the women and to add on this, they criticize the anti- rape reports from the society that are published by the media reporters. Gang assaults and suicidal scandals on women objectification are frequently reported by the media. It is concluded that men taunt women psychologically, mentally, physically, and socially.
Objective of the Production
The producer seeks to confirm that women objectification is real and not theoretical. Further, he protests against the harm that is caused by women objectification, and he invites the community to stand up against related practices.
