This video shows us one of the stories about HIV in Africa. It is an epidemic and a lot of families were separated because of it. The main hero of this story is an old woman who has to take care about her grandchildren. Her daughter died because of HIV and she left the kids. This old woman takes care about the children, even though it is very hard for her. She has raised one family already and to raise one more seems to be a challenge.
The Stolen Generation video shows us not only a dark side of the story. Yes, we can see a lot of broken families, people of different age suffering because of the HIV epidemic. But on the other hand it shows us the strength of personal will, the endless love and wish to save the lives. The woman wants to give educations to the kids so they could participate in burial ceremony when she dies. She knows it may happen soon and that is why she is trying to make as soon as possible.
This short video is very sad, but it has impressed me. I was surprised by the power of the old woman, who lost her daughter. She lives in horrible conditions, but she is trying to give her grandchildren everything needed, she passes her knowledge to them and teach them how to work. We can see that it is pretty hard for her to take care about kids, but she is the only relative they have. This story is about hard times that raise the strong people.
