Peter the Great is considered to be the tsar, who has dragged Russia out of the medieval circumstances to such a degree, that by his passing in 1725, Russia was viewed as a main eastern European state. Peter the Great in his efforts to modernize Russia in the early 1700’s has brought together government, modernized the armed force, made a naval force and expanded the enslavement and subjection of the laborers. His residential arrangement permitted him to execute a forceful outside approach. Somebody might think that Peter the Great’s reforms were more cosmetic, however that is not so. Reforms, that Peter the Great has implemented in the Church in 1701 made it possible to take control over church property, which was given over to the administration office called the Monastyrskii Prikaz (before Peter the Great the church was semi-autonomous). Education has also been modernized, as Peter the Great wanted Russia and Russian modern army and navy to be a dreaded force all through Europe. As a result of his efforts in early 1700’s the School of Navigation and Maths, School of Medicine, School of Engineering and School of Science were established. Peter the Great wanted economy of Russia to face the reforms, however he had accomplished short of what he would have liked to, making it possible for Russia to financially develop in the 18th century.
The three Islamic empires established by the 1800’s were the Sunnite Ottoman Empire, the Shiite Safavid Empire and the Mogul Empire. The Sunnite Ottoman Empire was based in Turkey, the Shiite Safavid Empire was based in Persia and the Mogul Empire was based in India. The Sunnite Ottoman Empire followed the Sunni Muslims branch of Islam, the Shiite Safavid Empire followed the Shi’a branch of Islam and the Mogul Empire followed the Sunni branch of Islam. The Mogul Empire was the most secular in its outlook, because numerous Mughals, particularly Akbar was tolerant of non-islamic religions.
