E-Recruitment refers to the situation where a firm posts job vacancies on an online platform so as to attract competent recruits, who then submit their resumes electromechanically. E-Human Resource Management is a modern system that characterizes the workplace with more innovative technologies (Dhamija, 2012). The technological advancements have enabled the automation of Human Resources procedures and processes through a database. Thus, this article focuses on addressing various innovations like the introduction of Virtual Human Resource and Human Resource Management System. The article is relevant to the modern day workplace since every firm strives to have an efficient technological system, which supports functions like recruitment, compensation, development, and the keeping personnel records.
Previously, companies used various methods like headhunting, advertising in newspapers and recruitment agencies to recruit potential employees. The traditional methods were not efficient since the hiring process would take a lot of time and possibly not attract competitive staff as compared to the use of the internet as a recruitment tool. The use of the internet as a recruiting tool first emerged in the mid-1990s. And, for sure the internet did bring pervasive vicissitudes to corporate recruiting. Revolution of E-Recruitment has impacted several changes since it has made the process of identifying new business opportunities and talented candidates cheaper, more efficient and quicker (Dhamija, 2012).
About traditional methods of recruiting, E-recruitment has reduced the time involved in the recruitment cycles. It has helped firms to stay up-to-date and attracts many qualified applicants (Dhamija, 2012). Thus, it is important that all businesses embrace e-recruitment to overcome challenges like that of getting unqualified staff that may drag the company back as they strive to achieve key goals. To solve recruitment issues, I would implement a Human Resource System that targets talented employees as well as attracts opportunities for the business. This will help in the realization of set goals and objectives at lesser costs as compared to the use of old methods of recruitment.
