In conclusion, the comparison of the two different instances of the bible indicates that there exist a number of styles in writing the bible. It is also clearly visible that the various types of bible books contain different contents. However, it is also appropriate to take into consideration the fact that there are a number of similarities between the two instances. A passage in the book of 2 kings is similar to a psalm in that both of them provide guidelines, which a righteous person ought to follow. Consider for example the mistakes encountered by the Israelites in the book of 2 kings and the parables present within the psalms.
The mistakes and the parables both contain very valuable information about the way life ought to be lived (Wendland, 2016). Consider for example the disobedience of the Israelites to the covenant made with their God that will lead to punishments. The message portrayed in this chapter is that whenever any God-fearing person goes against the word of God he or she will be susceptible to punishment. On the other hand, in psalms 1: 6 the bible says that for the ways of the righteous the Lord shall guide while those of the wicked shall perish.
These two instances of the Holy Bible are similar in the sole guidance to righteous living as well as in offering warnings against going astray from the word of God. The common theme that binds these two passages just as outlined above is that of guidance and correction. The two passages solely guide an individual in living a righteous lifestyle and avoid sins. This common theme present in the two passages makes it necessary for the experts and religious leaders to study in details the relationship between the two books.
