This paper choses to analyze 2015 PGA championship final round game that took place in the United States. In this tournament, Jason Day and Jordan Spieth teed off. There were a total of 13 bogeys and 10 pars on the first hole. After the first hole Spieth moves to 13 under by making the long play. In the first hole, both Grace and Rose miss makeable birdies putts narrowly and remains at 12 under (GolfWorld).
In the 7th hole, Rolly McIlroy manages to pull birdies back to back in the sixth and seventh holes and manages to reach 8 under. Going back on the first hole, Day and Spieth set themselves up with shots using short wedges. The both do not seem to have an easy look at the birdie. On the second hole, Spieth made a short chip in an attempt to reach the birdie but got left with around 10 feet. On the second hole, Day hit a 9-iron about 150 yard into the green (GolfWorld). On the third hole, Jason took a hit at the ball one foot out of the bunker and it went downslope to an elevated green. This was an incredible shot that reminds one why they are professionals.
In the fourth hole, Spieth gets his first bogey that happens in the last 37 holes and he then heads back to where he was initially at 13 under. On the other hand, Day Pars out and will therefore remain at 16 under. In the 5th hole, the difference begins to be seen since Spieth has pulled three pars and Day has birded three times. This continues up to the 18th hole where Day wins the tournament with 20 under and Spieth being the runners up with 17 under (GolfWorld).
In conclusion, this performance was carried out in a course that was quite rough with a maze of bunkers. Therefore, I have learned how to par and pull some given bogey in a golf course. This is as a result of watching Day and Spieth closely competing each other. Another thing that I learned is how to choose the size of the wedges.
