Regulation Grid
Licensure and certification are two essential aspects and credentials for many businesses as well as service deliverance to clients. Certification done at the national level determines the knowledge and skills as well as establishing standards required for audiologists across several or all state lines(Ontario, 2016). Licensure itself specifies the requirements for an individual or an organization to practice a particular task in a particular state (Baylis, 2004). Licensing has been done, since, the 1600s when it was invented, and currently, many health care facilities and professions do require licensure (Lott, 2010). An example is an audiologist, which requires state licensure for its operation and not certification. The paper will discuss the requirements for licensure, re-licensing, continuing the education and certification process.
In the healthcare profession specifically audiologist, the licensure process is not delicate but requires precision and consideration. In any state, audiologists must obtain a license for an operation which cannot be used in other countries (Lott, 2010). The general guidelines on how to be a holder of a license vary from on region to another. Licensure is considers as a right of every citizen presented by the law and is given to an individual through an authorizing body which may vary from state boards to other agencies.
For Florida State, there are the physical therapy practices, which determine the issuance of a license to an organization. In clause 486.061 of license issuance, which states that the board shall be able to cause a license issuance to any person who has the eligibility presented under the term of the chapters for the grant of a permit? The license renewal is done for $150 (Ontario, 2016).
In California State, the physical regulation board puts the rules of licensing and re-licensing of businesses and individuals (Ontario, 2016). The state recognizes the high level of discipline; the board has to evaluate the applicant and determine the eligibility for licensing and credentials re-licensing. When a suspect has engaged in harmful activities before, they are prone to be denied licensing according to the section 480 of the code of licensing (Baylis, 2004).
In the decision-making process, various factors have to be carefully considered to determine the viability of an individual process (Ontario, 2016). In licensing and certification, there need to be well-defined skills and assessments for a person to access any of the documents. The Florida statutes on licensing are expounded and strict upholding the reputation and credibility of the state’s certification (Baylis, 2004). The decision making in the California States is also rigid and to point as it puts strict regulations to be followed so as to avoid any involvement in any illegal businesses. In my decision making, I researched on different sectors concerning licensing and spotted the ones with strict regulations to be used in this document. I also researched on the fees used in the process of obtaining a license in the states. Therefore, licensing, re-licensing, continuing education and certification are an important aspect in many countries both in the United States and globally.
