Why do you think those four locations were chosen?
The four locations were chosen to represent the varied cultures of the world. The locations display a total difference in how children are born and brought up in different areas around the world. The cultures are diverse carrying some differences and similarities. The different places highlight some lessons that are important for childbearing and their growth. They also give a glimpse of the differences between the modern and traditional types of life in terms of babies.
Did you learn anything from viewing the different locations?
I learnt a lot from viewing the video about babies in different locations across the globe. First, the diversity of cultures integrates to form different characters of people that grow up to contribute to the diverse areas of the globe. Another most important thing was a highlight of how different the world of bringing up children is depending on location of birth. The child born in a certain environment tends to assume the behaviors and practices of the people around them.
How does Ponijao’s mother cut his hair?
Ponijao’s mother cut his hair using a knife. The culture that recommends that babies can be shaved using a knife is quite shocking. However, we all learn to appreciate different cultures by being exposed to their norms and understanding the foundations of their practices.
What was significant about Hattie eating the banana?
Hattie ate the banana at a young age alone. The bananas are a common food given to kids and they play an important role in developing of muscles and the maintenance of a healthy heart. The banana is also soft and a direct source of energy for the children.

What does Hattie chase on the beach while having picnic with her dad?
Hattie chases their pet cat and plays with it on the beach. She enjoys a picnic with her dad as she feels free to play and have fun. Hattie feels secure around her dad. The picnic enables them to bond as these are the small things that expose families to understanding each other and hence growing closer.
What is something of significance you notice in the movie?
Children are cherished by both family and the society. Regardless of sex and color kids are treated with special and tender care. The children also learn a lot from what they see and therefore have characters inclined to their cultures. The love of both parents is important for kids to grow and become healthy and responsible adults.
