A movie review "I am Sam"
Individuals with special requirements are repeatedly looked down upon all over the world. Most are deemed as helpless individuals who need taking care of especially by the rest of the population. Suppose the situation was the vice versa? Suppose it necessitates these individuals to discover their own refuge and look after other individuals? This film is a tale concerning a mentally challenged individual known as Sam Dawson.
The emotional movie was written and directed by Jessie Nelson. Sam is played by an award wining actor, Sean Penn. In the movie he is a 40-year-old gentleman, however, with a seven year old intellectual aptitude. Owing to this disability, He begins having difficulty looking after Lucy (Dakota Fanning), his now seven year old daughter, when she ultimately exceeds him in intellect. To struggle for Sam’s case, Rita (Michelle Pfeiffer), the lawyer, rescues Sam’s flaws as a dad as they become apparent on Lucy s seventh birthday. Sam becomes perplexed and besieged at the time Lucy deceits her peers that she was adopted. As the movie progresses, Lucy is soon carried off from Sam and engaged into foster care.
There are numerous huge acting performances in this movie; however the unblemished star is with no hesitation Sean Penn. So as to guarantee he was factual to his character, Penn used his time up at the L.A. Goal. The consequence was an astonishing presentation that evidently demonstrates Penn’s devotion to the art of drama. His labor is truthful, perceptive, and sympathetic.
In summary, the film saw Sam as a mentally hindered father, who had the intelligence of a seven-year-old kid. He had an energetic societal life; however, he was constantly examined for the method he looked after his daughter. Sam categorically was short of the mental abilities requisite of individuals his age, however he was psychologically fortified in looking after Lucy. Individuals near him overlooked his flaws and assisted him. Owing to the overpowering backing accorded to him, Sam was competent to nurture Lucy into a brilliant youthful girl.
