In the field of philosophy, fallacy is any form of erroneous reasoning arising from an argument on a contentious matter. Fallacies sometime happen intentionally or without realizing it. In most instances, majority of the people who involve in fallacious arguments deliberately, intend to sway the others to adopt their standpoints in the issues at hand (Krüger, Landier, and Thesmar 7). For instance, fallacies arise from debates, explanations, and analysis of certain pertinent issues. The following instances demonstrate some of the instances of fallacious occurrences in the American presidential debate in 2015.The debate took place in Milwaukee, where eight candidates stood for the same. The candidates present were, Ben Carson, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, Ted Cruz, John Kasich and Rand Paul. In their arguments, the following fallacies are eminent.
Appeal to Pity
When the moderator asked Rubio how he would deal with issue of education, Rubio promised to better education by spreading much opportunities to the less privileged. In his statement, Rubio believed that more vocational institutions should be increased to develop more technical skills. In retrospect, he appeared to attract the pity of the less unfortunate, so that they consider him a representative of their wishes by the statement that reads “for the life of me, I don’t know why we have stigmatized vocational education. Welders make more money than philosophers. We need more elders and less philosophers.”

Appeal to emotion
Trump had been speaking about the immigrants whom he perceives to be doing very little to boost the economy of the states. When he was asked why he seems so harsh, he defended his position by saying that some of these people exist in the country without due procedures. In the statement “ Let me just tell you that Dwight Eisenhower, good president, great president. Moved a 1.5 million illegal immigrants out of this country. You don’t get nicer. You don’t get friendlier. They moved a 1.5 million out. We have no choice. We have no choice.” This clearly demonstrates that he is never happy with the presence of foreigners in the state. In addition, he emphasised his position that those people deported forever remain in their countries and should never come back to the United States “never come back after being moved “way down south.”
Appeal to inappropriate authority
Cruz when representing what he thinks about the economy of the United State and the condition of living, he believed that the current government has neglected some people, rendering them to poverty. In his statement, he believed that Obama’s administration is selected, a situation he promises to fix. “And, I’ll give you an example of that, which is the Congressional exemption from Obamacare, which is fundamentally wrong, and I’ll tell you this, if I’m elected president, I will veto any statute that exempts members of congress. The law should apply evenly to every American.” This shows outright clear that he faults Obama’s government and wants to install a government that would give hopes where the latter had failed.

Complex Question
In his taxation plan, Cruz intends to develop a strategy that would lead the country to greater heights of economic development. He said that his new plan is the most flexible and promising strategy that the nation deserves, in the statement “costs less than virtually every other plan people have put up here, and yet it produces more growth.” He favours his plan and believes that among other plans, the one he promises stands out to be the best.
