The organisation is the global leader in the industry in providing reliable, rapid and on-time delivery in Saudi Arabia and 220 countries. The organisation helps in connecting almost 90% of the gross domestic product of the world within a span of 1-3 business days. The organisation combines cutting edge information technology and communication methods along with their infrastructure of transportation to be the largest express transportation organisation in the world (Margaritis, 2000).
FedEx is a world renowned organisation. At the core of its activities and success are individuals involved in the functioning of the organisation. FedEx has been globally acclaimed for their HR practices. The relations with the employees, the motivational strategies are all used as examples of other organisations to develop their HR functions in Saudi Arabia ("About FedEx | About FedEx", 2016). FedEx has joined up with Abdul Latif Jameel Group in Saudi Arabia, which will help the organisation to have access to the deep market of the Saudi conglomerate. The demand for international cargo is Saudi Arabia is stated to grow around 5% and the air and sea grow is expected to grow by 7 and 8% respectively. Thus a strategic partnership with Abdul Latif Jameel Group will help FedEx in maintaining their philosophy of “Customer First” and provide a unique experience for each delivery undertaken by the group in Saudi Arabia.
