Health is a significant component of proper human development. Over the past years, different players around the globe have come up with diverse ways in an effort to address the challenges deterring proper health care. This may not yield the expected results without an internal revolution, which also requires some reorganization in this sector. Most health care units around the globe are also not premeditated to suit the reorganization required in this sector. Despite the substantial scientific advances in the health sector, most health care organizations have failed to adopt such advances.
Contemporary organizations in the health sector should have the ability of optimizing the implementation of consistent processes to address various diseases. This should be done by the help of conventional players in the sector. Although each organization can have its own design in doing this, it is important to consider some basic principles in their design formulation. First, the primary concern of each organization should be to maximize care offered to patients. It is also important for these organizations to separate the high and low unpredictability care. Additionally, it is important for organizations involved with delivery of services to reorganize their resources even as they redesign clinical progressions. Lastly, healthcare organizations should design their structures in such a way that they methodically learn from their daily operations.
It is imperative to note that, despite the raging debate on the need for reforms in the healthcare sector, a calm revolution in this sector has begun. Most organizations are putting into consideration the basic principles in their design formulation. Each entity should however consider their service population and resources they have before establishing their design. Bearing the fact that the revolution has just begun, it may take several years for it to materialize. Healthcare organizations should be ready to face both internal and external hindrances in their quest to redesign their programs. This should not discourage them since change is still possible even in the midst of such challenges.
