The consultant proposes to conduct a focus group for Dimensionals with regard to their idea of introducing their 3D printing product in the field of healthcare identifying some potential opportunities in this regard (Matthews). Relevant to the case of the study, the target audience for the focus group being proposed is planned to be 6 surgeons from 3 different categories of specialties and 3 OPD doctors. The most senior surgeon of these participants will be appointed the facilitator in that focus group. The purpose of the focus group is to evaluate to what degree the idea of introducing 3D printing product of Dimensionals in the field of healthcare is profitable. Some past examples and present scenario of the use of this technology in the underlying field will be discussed on the basis of which future predictions could be made. The questions like how effective 3D printing for healthcare sector is, what revolutionary changes it can bring, which of the healthcare fields can be most influenced by it, how it can help in surgery, and what its negative implications stand will be discussed and analyzed. Since, it is going to involve professionals; it will be a paid focus group but promises highly reliable findings. Each member in the group will be paid $100 in consideration of its participation. Hence, the total budget allocated for the focus group (including $50 specified as transport expenses) amounts to $950. And, the process including sampling, getting appointment, conducting focus group, and preparing a final report based on the findings of the focus group is planned to be accomplished within 3 week.
