Communication (Survey of 2 people)
The two people observed for the task are supposed to work with different dimensions on the same project to get an in-depth opinion over the elements of group communication norms and applications of decision making to group communication situations. One of the individuals function as IT support and the other as a finance executive. The short-answer (open ended) questions and contextual observations are illustrated to demonstrate the understanding.
- What are the intricacies and concerns of communication and feedback provided to management and authorities for consideration?
The concern of IT that the technical details are hard to be demonstrated to the audience at the time of discussion. The capacity of a task and technical suitability is a hard to demonstrate elements, if the project manager does not have the basic understanding. On the other hand, the reading of survey of finance executive determined that budgeting is an important factor that should be abided for any project. Regular reading of expenses of a project is disseminated fortnightly with observations, even than the norm of computing expenses only after the completion of a project leaves the situation critical for the finance department, if the budgets exceed the limit.

The IT professional had the opinion that some software application options on the market could be integrated in the system for some considerable improvements in company structure for a particular. However, whenever he presents the option, the group members start interrupting eventually diverting the discussion from the option. Hence, feels the utter lack of group attention and capacity to stick to focus over an important point in meetings. On the other hand, the finance executive stuck to the main point of overspending by stating that observation points are neither noted through soft dissemination nor prioritized in project meetings out of the norm of compromised power of listening.

Emails and memos were considered as the most preferred mode of dissemination by both members. The IT person emphasized that the field of IT is highly technical and needs face to face communication for accuracy of line of understanding. While, Finance member was of the opinion that the access numbers of emails and memos does not allow the important mails to be recognized on priority. The norm of rearing premature information is the root cause of the illustrated factor.

The IT professional had the perception that the root cause of the problem should be discussed in the project meeting utilizing five why approach. Usually, the issues of a project are discussed individually, even though the overview from a broader prospect depict a single cause behind all the trouble. The finance executive all pondered over the norm of discussing unnecessary details and wasting the time or it. He considers that a hierarchical levels of information and authority should be established to control the unnecessary authority and hierarchical chaos.

The observation of both of the employees over the factor was the same. The factor of favoritism was highlighted by each of the individual in a different manner. The finance executive (female) complaint against the gender bias. While, the IT professional stated that egotism is the basic active influence that urge groups to suppress the other employees / groups.
