The supporters of Rick Perry are justified regarding the case against Rick Perry as partisan and political since the charges imposed on him were unwarranted and weak (Weber n.p). The two statutes used to indict Governor Perry are a reminiscent of the old Soviet Union, in this case, the abuse of authority issue. The issue of accusing him only because he issued a threat to veto sending does not qualify for criminal indictment. The constitution of Texas grants Perry the authority to veto bills hence he cannot face prosecution for utilizing his lawful and constitutionally given power. Accordingly, the abuse of power charge of Perry deserves dismissal since the provision of separation of powers by the constitution of Texas forbids the prosecution of a governor for his veto utilizing the statute of abuse-of-official capacity. Finally, I issue support for the fact that Governor Perry deserves the dismissal of the charges he faced according to the provisions of the constitution of Texas.

It is clear that the benefits that plea bargaining offers to the guilty defendants make them readily accept plea bargaining since it accords them lesser punishment (Schmalleger 223). Conversely, plea bargaining jeopardizes the right of the accused especially the legally innocent since sometimes fear forces them to accept plea bargaining since they fear that they can fall, victims of more severe punishment, should they lack sufficient evidence. Nevertheless, the issue of whether plea bargaining is constitutional or not offers dilemma since at one extremity legal personnel support since it reduces the backlog of cases that await trial. On the other hand, plea bargaining is illegal since it compromises the rights of the defendants to prove they are innocent. Finally, Yes, plea bargaining reduces the number of cases awaiting trial, but for transparency to prevail in the judicial system, the defendants and prosecution should ensure that they prove their claims on an equal ground so that the best party wins not cutting short legal procedures just to reduce the number of cases.
