The research question was to determine whether other occupational groups could also attain high levels of accuracy in identifying deceit from demeanor. The study tries to find out if it is easier for one to tell if someone is telling lies or not. The methodology used towards this study was observation and experimentations. They used several groups of people with different occupations to establish their ability in establishing whether someone is telling lies or not.
The main discovery from this study is that those people from different occupational groups can tell when one is telling lies. These groups included to clinical psychologists, the academic psychologists, and those in who had specialized in criminal justice and law enforcement. The main critique of this article is that during their experiment, they did not use people with no special training to establish his or her ability of detecting lies.
The methodology used to this research was more appropriate. By use of different occupants from different fields. It tells how one can be able to tell whether an individual is telling lies or not. This makes this method more appropriate. The conclusion drawn from the research was not overdrawn. It was consistent with their findings thus not overdrawn.
There was no better way of conducting this research other than the one used in the experiment. It is a more appropriate one. They used different people with different professions thus being able to tell how such difference in professions determine their capability in telling whether one is telling lies or not.
This is a pleasant research. Their methodology and hypothesis are more appropriate and much simpler in conducting the research. It is, therefore, an excellent research. One discussion question forms the experiment was to tell if other occupational groups can know when one is telling lies or not. It was found out that people from different professions are also able to tell if one is telling lies.
