It is this understated logic which makes a good leader earns the respect and loyalty of those who finally serve them back. A good leader requires a following, and people follow others only if they feel looked out for and their interests served.
Making those who work under you become good at performing their job, makes one a good leader. This never mean performing their work, it denotes assisting them obtain the information and resources they require to perform their duties to the best of their abilities. Moreover, it means giving them room to make mistakes and helping them fix such mistakes. The more one does this, the more one earns trust of others to go extra miles whenever required. Besides, becoming a good leader requires one to make others understand their purpose or belief or know what they intend to achieve. People know what they do, and how to do it, therefore, a good leader shows why it is done.
Leadership entail some components of good management, although it needs that a good leader inspire and establish durable trust. Good leadership creates participation greater than the work description, commitment more profound than any work contract’s wording. None can compensate workers for what they truly need, good leadership account for the difference. Therefore, understanding the organization’s culture as well as empathizing with members, makes one a good leader. Empathizing means fathoming what makes the culture of organization operate.
Leadership is about changing the universe and this can only be learnt not taught. Becoming concerned with other goals, such as adding value to the society or creating an impact on it, without thinking about what to get in return, makes one a good leader. A good leader believes in working in a universe of abundance, in which there is enough fulfillment and satisfaction for anyone adding value to their organization. Instead of making money and promoting personal goals; therefore, working towards happiness which cannot be bought, framed, or admired by standards of someone, makes one a good leader.
