Executive Summary
The research project is about investigating the best educative Toy for the Ages 1-3. It is sponsored by Martin Chuo. The committee under its implementation is Mississauga Education Committee. Mississauga day care is an institution that deals with children under the age of three years. However, the children must be more than one year. The head of the institution brought on board the position that, the best toys to be investigated. The reason behind his directive was the fact that he purposed to impact substantively on children that were brought to his institution. The drive behind the research followed the position that day care services were slowly losing essence. Most people considered hiring permanent nannies as opposed to taking them to Day Care Centers. As a way of usurping and escaping these circumstances, the owner of the institution, Mississauga day care commissioned the research on the best toys that can enhance Day care services. The research targets to come up with findings as it partake the best toy that can best server in the provision of day care services. The findings will are based on responses by people as I t regards the essence of day care services. It is plausible that a conclusion is reached. In this case, the committee under my leadership summed up al outcomes of the Questionnaires and interviews and came up with ABC-123 model as the best toy that can effectively facilitate good environments for a child below the age of three.
Introduction
Daycare services form an integral part of the overall growth of a baby into adulthood. In my profession as an assistant administrative officer of Mississauga day care, I have come to appreciate that the type and nature of toys matter in the event of impacting knowledge to children. In the event a child of one year is brought to the day care service, it is observed that they fall attracted to toys that have aspects that make them attractive. Toys that sound antiquated and old fashion do not receive enormous and substantive regard. In my professional life, I have also come to terms with the fact, children have a preference of toys that enable them have fun. However, for the sake of giving children opportunities that grant them a bright future, it is reasonable that day care services make use of toys that are academically oriented. Similarly, some elements of fun should be encompassed in the applicability of the toys.
At the age of between one and three years, children at a stage that accommodates everything that is brought at their scope. Therefore, it is true to say that; they become what their foundation brought on board. In this regard, it is clear that, clear and precise measures have to be put in place to ensure that, the best toys are used applied and used by those who work in day care services. The study will be important in coming up with a toy that best suites of the circumstances that provide for the production of well oriented children in their social, academic and personality aspects.
Findings
In my research of the best toys to use in our organization, I set out to conduct my research. I devised questionnaires that I purposed to use in my endeavors. In these regards, the questionnaires were in the context of both open and closed questionnaires. Similarly, I conducted by research using oral interviews. I interviewed students and teachers of higher institutions. In my research of the best toy to be used in impacting knowledge in the kids at our daycare, I found out the following;
Most parents were of the opinions that, the ABC-123 model toy was the best suited for their young children (My Books My Toys LLC, 2012). In this regard, most of the parents confessed that, their older children had undergone through the same day care services. They had noticed that, ABC-123 toys contributed to best grades that their children later came to achieve. According to the parents, the ABC-123 model was preferred by their children even when they were back at their homes. It is a toy that every child wants to get associated with. It was a common phenomenon to observe a child crying on his or her way back home just to be allowed to take along the toy. Most parents confirmed that, their children , especially those of age three, made mild rehearsals and constantly repeated some letters and could be seen jotting down something in the form of letters and numbers. Similarly, the parents opined that, in previous circumstances, they had strived and made purchases for toys for the knowledge hungry children (Gabler, 2010). As a result, children have been on the front of having preferences of staying at home and having fun with their newly acquired toys. In this regard, the actions by parents have been actuated by the fewer number of ABC-123 toys in day care services.
At some point, some parents have been taking their children from day care services because, the day care services are not well furnished to the extent that, sufficiently provides for the possibility of children making the best out of the learning process. Instead, they have been reverting to the old idea of letting the children stay at home. Nannies have, therefore, been on the front of facilitating teachings and preliminary education services at home. In their honest minds, however, they stated that, their decisions were subject to change in the event proper mechanisms are implemented. On the other hand, some parents still considered the pedal-less bicycle as a good toy for children who are young. On the other side of the coin, they admitted to the reality that, it was a good means of ensuring that children made the best out of their early stages.On the contrary, it had partial regard and impact on the child. At no point is it plausible to state that, in any way, it will impact on the academic growth of the child. Skill was the only element of child development that the toy could bring on board.
According to teachers who teach in other high reputed institutions that offered day care services, I found out the following; Day care institutions had multiple toys that were interchangeably used. For instance, there were toys that were best suited during morning hours. Similarly, we had toys that were multi purposed in regard to the time in which it was inclined (Mooney, 2011). These included, stomp rocket, Car carrier and pretend fishing sets. However, this model of impacting knowledge to the children faced the following hurdles: it was not easy to tell which toy was appropriate for a particular as it regards a particular person. The challenge was actuated by the fact that children at this time were not in a position to select and make cogent decisions. In the case of one year old, the toys were further farfetched. For instance, the pedal-less bicycle was would at no point be appropriate for him or her. The pedal-less bicycle was, therefore, not accommodative of all requirements of effective learning.
In my research in which I took a step to set up an experimental situation to ascertain which toy was the best in the developmental aspects of a child hence the betterment of the child care institution, I came to the realization that the ABS-123 model that had been suggested by most parents held a key and regarded position. In my sample of students who during their preliminary stages had been under the guidance and reach of toys such as, the bicycle and the ABC-123 model, students in the fourth to eighth brought to a revelation that, ABC-123 toys centered stage the educative position. It was discovered that, ABC-123 model students were performing better than the other students. It was also clear that, they were more organized in activities that they went through.
Similarly, I found that, the children that were brought in the day care centers were from different backgrounds hence universality was a key aspect to place under due regard. It was the feeling of most parents, teachers and academic practitioners that toys used in teaching one to three year old kids in Day Care Centers must be reflective of the society in general. It is significant to make sure that, they must have elements that will be a foundation to their future learning instances.
Conclusion
In my research, I found out that ABC-123 model as facilitated the following; it provided the children in most Day care centers with academic information. On this ground, children were introduced to reading and construction of simple words and syllables. In this case, they were able to make good readers. At the end of it all, the children ended up being excellent students.
In summation, it is plausible to state that, the ABC-123 toy emerges as the most preferred toy as a result of its multiple advantages and value. From recent studies on toys, it has been established that toys form a very fundamental role .in this case, toys facilitate children of one to three years will an opportunity of working on their psychological and rationality affairs. Kent Paul in his studies on children, he denoted that, method of enlightening children were essential in the reflective life of the child ahead. In his assertions, he goes on to say that, someone’s academic base reflects throughout their academic lives. In essence, went yonder ahead to conduct a survey and realized that best performing students and children had a strong basis that was appreciated by goods teachings. In essence, a day care institution offers the preliminary teachings that are required by children.
Recommendations
In reference to the above findings that I came up with, I give the following recommendations in as far as the choice of the best toy in day care services is concerned;
The number of student that a Day care institution accommodates should be checked. In this case, instances of having excess children than a particular center can accommodate should be done away with. Therefore, I urge the owner of Mississauga day care to ensure that he places much regard to the number of children he admits. In the event that he admits more children than the institution can hold, it is likely that, the education processes and aiding effects by teachers and guides will be distributed along the same population. In the long run, children will not receive the attention that best fits and accommodates for their future desires to be the best in all they do. An overwhelming population constricts the resources available.
I propose and recommend that ABC-123 Toys be bought. However, the most advanced types should be given due regard it deserves. Also, the number of the toys should not just be enough for the anticipated population. A surplus should be made available so as to ensure that the toys are efficient. If one breaks down, it does not mean that the entire process had come to a halt.
On the other hand, I suggest that, other subsidiary toys be bought so as to reduce chances and instances of boredom and challenges that associated with getting used to something. It is significant to agree that, ABC-123 toys are the fundamentally recognized toys.
Similarly, I propose and recommend that, the day care staff should be trained and equipped with relevant information and skills to effectively guide the young children through their initial stages of enlighten.
Special classes should be constructed specially to provide for the teaching and deliberating upon the ABC-123 models for the teaching and deliberating upon the ABC-123 models. In this regard, the toys form a relevant element of entertainment. At the same time, impacting knowledge and information substantiates it relevance as opposed to other forms of toys, in this case, its inclusiveness provides for this platform.
I suggest that, the implementation of the ABC-123 toy program be done in a stepwise manner. In this case, it should be understood that, for the purposes of better results from the process, instances that call for a snap reaction should be done disregarded. A timetable should be devised so as to account for the implementation of the program. The cost on manpower, acquisitions and other minor amalgamated issues should be brought to book.
As a result of the procedures that follow the process, it is an obvious realization that, a lot of capital will be needed for better yields in the program. For these reasons, the institution should come up with documentation on strategies that will facilitate advertisements, marketability and networking of the toy program. In this case, it should be appreciated that, a focus group should be on targeted. Middle class and upper class parents should be targeted due to the highly envisioned fees.
