There my idea got completely changed. Santa Barbara is located close to Los Angeles,
I enjoyed cultural and social facilities that we find in big cities. The first thing I did after
reaching was paying a visit to Santa Barbara’s most popular beach, East Beach which
is covered by white sand accompanied by picturesque palm trees, hills and a nearby
harbor. Whenever I used to feel lonely or homesick, I used to spend some time
And go back.In my idle time I used to go for surfing in cafes nearby and
Paragliding on weekends at Elings park although small but good for startup. Although
most of the times I used to eat in my place but in some cases I enjoyed some of the
Best seafood, local wines available. Every morning I used to enjoy walking on the beach
Towards State Street, close to my college and while coming back have breakfast in any
Of the restaurants there.
Apart from borrowing books only from college library there are a couple of
job of data entry there in one of the cafes to meet my regular expenses, where I only
Worked on weekends.
Santa Barbara is a place where someone can get easily carried away, but I was
Concentrating on my study rather than enjoying and hovering around.
Effect of my decision:
My decision of going abroad and completing my MBA influenced my life in a lot of
ways. The idea of moving abroad from my comfort zone came as a blessing in
disguise, which has not only allowed me to mix with people from different society,
cultures and economic conditions but to secure a foreign MBA degree and
education. To draw a conclusion, I consider the decision to move abroad and study in
Santa Barbara, California, a perfect way to dodge from previous problems and
Concerns and enjoy an experience that was really emphatic.
